ORANGE Scandinavian Flowers . . . with Neat & Tangled and the Southern Girls Challenge

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge
Anything Goes with Team Lou

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are:

Neat and Tangled          The Paper Shelter

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the
Glittery And Sparkling digital stamp from The Paper Shelter
to make a pair of easel cards
and the
Scandinavian Flowers clear stamps from Neat and Tangled
to make a pair of CAS cards.
You can read more about the challenge and other cards HERE.
This post is to focus on my orange card using the
Scandinavian Flowers clear stamps from Neat and Tangled
I had lots of inky fun with the Scandinavian Flowers clear stamps from Neat and Tangled and my MISTI.  Using "Copic friendly" Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I repeat stamped one of the flourished leaf stamps, added the flowers to make a delicate floral "sun" then stamped the sentiment.  I coloured the flowers and leaves with Copic markers (details below) then adhered the image panel to a card base to make a pair of pretty CAS cards.  The cards are 6 1/8" square.
Don't you think the sentiment is delightful?
In case you can't read it clearly, it says
" TRUE FRIENDS ARE LIKE THE SUN.
THEY ALWAYS SHINE. "
... that's what inspired me to stamp my pair of floral suns.
Separate to making this card for the Southern Girls Challenge, I was also challenged to make matching envelopes, so I pulled my stamps out for another workout.  I wasn't sure how things would go colouring an envelope, so I decided to stamp three.  I inserted a panel of cardstock inside each envelope to ensure that no ink could bleed through to the back.  As you can see, thinks didn't go so well with my first attempt ... the YR61 must have been a bit juicy!
So instead of going light through dark then back through light with my Copic blending, I started with dark and went to light without making things too wet.  It didn't blend as well as I would like but I have to confess, it does look nice having a matching envelope and was well worth the effort.  What do you think?
NOW it's YOUR turn!
I hope that I have inspired you to get creative
and look forward to seeing your projects fill the gallery for
  8. Wonderful card and love the coordinating envelope. So glad you participated in our Challenge and we hope you'll join us again. Want to leave your with an inspiration from the Bible in Isaiah 55:6-7 which says, "Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." Have a wonderful week.
