Today I have used the Ginger Spice Cocoa Mug digital stamp from Digi Doodle Studios, our generous sponsors this week, to make a cute and tasty Christmas card.

I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, colouring with Copic markers then die cut with a nesting circle die.  I cut a 5 3/4" panel of patterned paper, matted with white cardstock, timmed to 1/16" border, matted with green cardstock, trimmed to 3/16" border then adhered the panel to a card base.  I layered the image panel with an offset circle and doily, adhering the layers in place with liquid adhesive.  I finished the card off with a die cut sentiment, which I layered for extra dimension.
The finished card is 6 1/4" square.

Warm Hugs from Chilly Willy

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

As always, the challenge is Anything Goes.

~~~*~~~*~~~
The sponsor for this challenge is:
Oddball Art Co.
~~~*~~~*~~~

Today I have used the Chilly Willy digital stamp from Oddball Art Co., our generous sponsor for this challenge, to make a pair of fun shaker Christmas cards.

I printed the Chilly Willy image, heat set, fussy cut then coloured with Copic markers, finishing off the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black dual tip marker.  I printed the front panels with the sentiment, heat set then cut the "melted snow" (cloud) shaped windows with my Silhouette Cameo, then manually trimmed the image panels down to size.  I coloured the sentiments with Copic markers.  Partially overlapping the pink and orange created an even more vibrant orange.  I adhered a panel of acetate to the melted snow windows, adhered foam tape around the windows and over the back of the front panels.  I filled the windows with assorted white beads and sequins then adhered the 7" x 5" card bases.  Lucky last came the fussy cut Chilly Willy images and snowflake sequins, which I adhered in place using liquid adhesive.
It's funny ... and frustrating ... how an idea sticks in your mind.  I was determined to create a melting snowman, an Olaf enjoying warm hugs and summer without his personal flurry.

The first card has the front panel covering the 7" x 5" card base.

The image panel on the second card is smaller
and pops out from the 7" x 5" card base.

Cup Cake Party at Penny's

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

As always, the challenge is Anything Goes.

~~~*~~~*~~~
The sponsors for this challenge are:
All Dressed Up
Di's Digi Stamps
~~~*~~~*~~~

Today I have used the Cup Cake digital stamp from All Dressed Up, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make a birthday card.

It's a Cup Cake Party at Penny's and I have to apologise for being late,
my RA decided that I wasn't allowed to play until today.

The is so much cuteness and detail in this Cup Cake scene that I decided to keep it CAS, so I sized the image to fit on A5 X-Press It blending card, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I coloured the matting panel with a Copic marker to match the image panel and trimmed it to 1/8" with a Perfect Layers Ruler.  The background patterned paper is a combination of two digital papers.  I scored an A5 cardstock panel and adhered to another to make a top folding card base.

My body wasn't very co-operative when making my card, the final image was my 3rd attempt, below, is the 2nd version, sadly I had a couple of oops when it was almost done,
one day I might be able to salvage it ...

This 6 1/8" square card combine a CAS design with CORK, smooth cardstock, a new-to-me die cut sentiment and a touch of sparkle.  The 6" x 6" cork sheet is self-adhesive, so I adhered it to some smooth white cardstock, used my Perfect Layers Ruler to cut a 1/16" border and adhered the panel to a 6" square card base.  I die cut the huge sentiment from sparkling green glitter paper and white cardstock, layered them together and adhered it to the cork with liquid adhesive.  I finished it off with some sparkling red rhinestones.

The red rhinestones are a great contrast to the cork.

The huge die cut sentiment really does sparkle and more
fun contrast against the colour and texture of the cork.

Doing What I Love . . .

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt for Day 30 is Do What You Love

. . . well that's a tough one . . .

I LOVE to colour and make cards,
I also LOVE to make fancy gift card and treat holders.

Sadly, I'm struggling to colour at the moment, my fingers and markers are not playing well together, so the next best thing to do is to go with my second love (really it's my third love, as my husband will always be #1) and make some Santa treat boxes.  I confess, I had so much fun at Halloween, I made a big bundle of different treat boxes, filled them with individually wrapped chocolates, lollipops and lollies, donned my wicked witch hat and merrily gave them to little (and not-so-little) visitors until it got too dark.  We even had the pleasure of sharing our treats with the local scout troop for their Halloween party.  With that little tale in mind and given that we're now in Christmas mode, I seriously think that I should ditch the hat, put on a red dress, a frilly white apron and live in a Gingerbread House so that I can keep sharing sweet treats.

These Santa treat boxes are a new-to-me cut file, they're the first four of I don't know how many, I'll keep making them until I run out of red cardstock, the more the merrier!  I upsized the boxes, they were originally 2" square and were too small to fit tasty treats.

These cute boxes are 2 7/8"  square . . . or is that cubed?  . . . I wonder how many Freddo Frogs, Caramello Koalas and Milky Ways I can fit inside each one?

The black band weaves through the sides of the box to make the belt.

The lid fits neatly and comes off easily,
not too tight, not too loose, it's just right.

. . . just in case you were wondering, I can fit NINE Freddo Frogs,
Caramello Koalas and Milky Ways inside, three of each.
