Flamingo LOVE

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

As always, the challenge is Anything Goes.
Three to five random winners are drawn and
each get to choose 3 set of papers from the Paper Pick Tab

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the Hearts Again digital paper by Lozzy at A Bit More Time To Craft to make a special 50th Anniversary card.
As seems to be the norm lately, I started by opening the Hearts Again digital paper and Valentine Flamingo Pop Up Box card cut file in Silhouette Studio.  I enlarged the card elements to make a 5 7/8" square card.  I sized the digital paper for the matting panels, printed on white textured cardstock then manually cut.  I cut the card base and design elements from textured cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.  I used the "50" and sentiment using a digital font (details below).  I used liquid adhesive to secure all the layers together to complete this fancy fold card then decided it needed a little "more", so dragged out a bundle of my favourite flower punches and started punching, curling and layering.  I added a sparkling black rhinestone to the centre of each flower then adhered them in place and my special anniversary card was done.
Here is the card extended out fully open and flat,
a grand 11 3/4" wide and 5 3/4" tall.
Here is the fancy fold in action.
I used assorted fonts to make a sentiment panel for the back of the card.
The card folds flat for mailing but my dimensional flowers added dimension,
so it was lucky that this card is to be hand delivered.
Digital papers like Hearts Again look amazing on textured cardstock.
I have another one from Hearts Again printed and ready
for some creative fun, the teal and pink look gorgeous.
Today I have used the Bugaboo Bunny digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps, one of our generous sponsors this month, to make fun Easter card filled with fancy folds and flowers.
This card started with the super cute little Bugaboo Bunny digital stamp, Silhouette Studio and several cut files.  I enlarged the shutter gatefold card cut file (details & link below) to 5" wide x 6 3/8" tall and sized the digital stamp to fit neatly inside the shutter window.  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, cut to size with my Silhouette Cameo then coloured with Copic markers.  I cut all the elements to make the shutter card, along with the layered flower for the belly band (details & link below) and layered sentiment (details & link below).  I added an extra large petal layer to the base and an extra fine petal layer to the top, I curled all the layers with a fine paintbrush handle and layered them together, securing with a combination of foam dots and liquid adhesive.  I used liquid adhesive to secure all the layers of the card together.  I punched out a variety of flowers, curled and layered together them together and decorated the inside of the card with the layered flowers and layered sentiment.  I added a sparkling yellow rhinestone to the flower on the belly band and to all the flowers decorating the inside of the card.
Before assembling the belly band, I added an extra 1/8" score line to both sides to allow for the extra thickness inside the card and secured the ends so that they fitted on the card, not too loose to slide off, not too tight so that it could still easily slide on and off the folded card.  Lucky last came the large layered flower.  Apart from being over 2 3/4" diameter, it is just over 1 1/4" high ... lots of WOW factor making it need a gift box instead of an envelope.
Today I have used the Silly Chickens On Coop digital stamp from Pattie's Creations, our generous sponsor for this challenge, to make a Get Well Soon card.
I sized the image to fit on a 6" x 8" card, printed on X-Press It blending card, heat set, trimmed to size then coloured with Copic markers.  I created a fun sentiment (font details below), printed and trimmed to size.
I adhered the image and sentiment panels to cardstock and trimmed them to a 1/8" border using a Perfect Layers Ruler.  I created a top folding card base then adhered the layers in place using liquid adhesive.  I punched a bundle of flowers, adding a black pearl to each one and finishing off the card with three large black pearls to the white space.  I saturated some of the flower layers with dark red Copic markers to match the rooster feathers.
Just a note . . .
It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.
This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge
Our generous sponsors for this challenge are:
~~~*~~~*~~~

Today I have used the Mum & Sentiment digital stamp set by KLM Digital Designs, one of our generous sponsors this fortnight.  My CAS card is "just a note" to remind someone special that we're thinking of them.  Given the troubling times we're experiencing all over the world at the moment, I think I will be making a bundle more, a perfect way to share some love and to try some different marker blends.

I opened the Mum & Sentiment digital stamp in Silhouette Studio, sized and rotated to fit on a 5" x 7" card base.  The sentiment comes in the digital stamp set and it's such a fresh font.  I printed the card front panel on X-Press It blending card, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I trimmed the panel to size and adhere to a 5" x 7" card base.

It's hard to photograph purple shades ... I don't know if I'm the
only one, but they always seem to look blue in my photos.
In "real life" the petals are light mauve to deep purple shades.

I created a sentiment panel to put inside the card (font details below), printed and trimmed to size.  I trimmed another panel 4mm larger from smooth white cardstock and used the BV04 Copic marker to colour the outer edges to make a contrasting matting panel.  I used liquid adhesive to adhere the matting and sentiment panels inside.

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the My Pad digital stamp from SheepSki Designs, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make a fun birthday card.
I opened the image in Silhouette Studio and sized it to 3 1/2" to fit in the 4" oval.  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, coloured with Copic markers and die cut to size.  I scored a panel of cardstock and offset the largest stitched scalloped oval die over the fold then die cut to create the card base.  I die cut another full panel from the same cardstock, scored halfway down the "front" of the card base and adhered the full panel to the lower half of the front panel to create the easel card.  I die cut several matting layers for the front and inside of the card, adhering them and the image panel in place with liquid adhesive.  This is where I confess that I had to do a double-take, as some of the adhesive oozed through the stitches and looked pretty horrible, so I quickly pulled it off, cut another panel and was more strategic with how much and where I put the adhesive.  I created a sentiment using a combination of fonts, printed, trimmed to size, matted with cardstock then trimmed to size using a 1/16" Perfect Layers Ruler.  I adhered the sentiment in place with foam squares inside the card so that it provided a little ledge for the card front to prop against for the easel fold.
Easel fold cards are surprisingly easy to make and are such a fun fold,
they pop up for a pretty display and fold flat for mailing.
