Today I have used the Unicorn Maiden digital stamp from MoonFlower Digistamps, our generous sponsor this month, to make a tall A5 birthday card.

I opened the image in Silhouette Studio and sized it to 5" high then sized a frame (cut file details & link belowto fit neatly around the imageI printed the image panel on X-Press It blending card, heat set, cut with my Cameo, coloured with Copic markers and went around the edges with a black marker.  I cut the frame from black cardstock and adhered it to the image panel.  The A5 top folding card base was matted with pretty patterned paper (sorry, it's a discontinued design from my stash) then I adhered a contrasting strip and the framed image panel in place.  The sentiment is a die cut.  I coloured some X-Press It blending card with the R83 Copic marker (to match the dress), die cut the sentiment, adhered to a panel of white cardstock, matted it with black cardstock (4 3/8" x 1") and adhered in place.  I confess, this was my second try, as the letters looked wonky the first time.  To make it "Tracy-proof", I die cut the sentiment from a panel 3/4" x 4 1/8" (the same size as sentiment panel for the card), stuck a strip of Washi Tape across the front of the "negative" die cut, turned it over and placed each letter in their original place, with the tape gently holding them in position.  I applied liquid adhesive to the back of each one.  I flipped it all over then aligned it with the sentiment panel, carefully peeled off the tape and "negative", leaving a perfect aligned sentiment.  The card was finished off with two clusters of black pearls.

Today I have used the Smile - Message pre-coloured digital stamp from Hetty Clare, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make cute birthday card.

I opened the image in Silhouette Studio, sized to 4 1/2", combined two fonts to make the sentiment and printed on heavy smooth white cardstock.  I used a nesting circle die to cut the image panel and matted it with a contrasting circle and scalloped circle.  The weave cardstock colours used matched the brightest pink and darkest maroon from the flowers.  I matted an A5 top folding card with a pretty pink cardstock.  I used a border punch to make some contrasting scalloped strips to adhere to the top and bottom of the card front then secured the matted image panel in place.  I made some flowers to embellish the layered panel by cropping a flower from the image panel in Silhouette Studio and printed it in assorted sizes.  I fussy cut the flowers then went around the edges with a Tuxedo black Memento Dual Tip marker.  I think I must have enjoyed my fussy-cutting time a little too much, as I have enough flowers to embellish a set of cards now.  I used a combination of liquid adhesive and foam circles to secure the fussy cut flowers in place.

Today I have used the Gus Birthday - Collect Wrinkles digital stamp and sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make a fun birthday card.

My card started in Silhouette Studio.  I opened the digital image and sentiment and sized them to fit on a 6" square card based on a sketch (details and link below).  I "sliced" the sentiment in half, so that I could stagger it on the sides of the image panel.   I printed the image and sentiment panels on X-Press It blending card, heat set, coloured with Copic markers and trimmed to size.  I had some sprinkles patterned paper in mind for this card and do you think I could find it?  Next best thing was to use a digital version, so I printed a  square panel on textured cardstock and trimmed down to 5 3/4".  I cut a 6" x 12" cardstock strip, scored at 6" and created the 6" card base.  I cut two 1" strips from the same cardstock for the sentiments.  The image panel was adhered to the same cardstock then trimmed to a 1/8" mat using a Perfect Layers ruler.  I used liquid adhesive to secure all the layers on the card base.

I finished off the card by colouring some clear rhinestones with Copic markers to match the image panel, adding several layers to build up the colour, with darker shades around the edges.

Here are some more pics of my wrinkled cutie . . .

Today I have used the Cindy digital stamp from LeAnn's World 101one of the generous sponsors, to make a birthday card.  I thought it would be fun to make some magic happen with this sweet Cindy "Cinderella" image by combining it with some shimmering gold foiling, pretty patterned paper, a flourished sentiment, a touch of sparkle and a special message inside.

I designed my card in Silhouette Studio.  I combined the image with a quote (details & links below), adding some extra stars to the image panel so that the two panels would coordinate.  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, cut to size (3.9") with my Cameo then coloured with Copic markers.  I used my Cameo to cut a circle (4.15") out of cardstock to mat the image panel.   I printed the sentiment panel and manually trimmed to size, matting with the same cardstock, trimming to a 1/8" border with a Perfect Layers Ruler.  I used a fancy font (details & link below) and an image of a dancing princess (details & link belowto create a sentiment panel for inside the card, printed on smooth white cardstock, trimmed to size, matted with cardstock, trimming to a 1/8" border with a Perfect Layers Ruler.  I used an A4 panel of heavy smooth white cardstock to make the top folding card base, trimming it to 7 7/8" wide x 5 7/8" high.  I matted the card front with pretty patterned paper, the golden foil accents perfect for a princess.  I adhered the matted image and sentiment panels in place with liquid adhesive.  I used the same adhesive to secure the paper roses in place, adding some sparkle to the petals with Stardust Stickles.

Lucky last came the sentiment panel for inside the card

Celebrate In Style

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the Cute flower bud (image 38) digital stamp by Jenoviya Art Shop, one of our generous sponsors this fortnight, to make a fancy birthday card.
As soon as I saw this cute image, I remembered a cut file design in my stash that would work perfectly to conceal the top of the leg.  It's a new-to-me fancy fold that I have not made before.  I opened the image and cut file (details & link below) in Silhouette Studio, sized the image panel to fit on the main panel and created the sentiment (font details below).  I printed the image panel on X-Press It blending card, heat set, trimmed to size and coloured with Copic markers.  I cut the card base and layers using my Silhouette Cameo and adhered all the layers in place using liquid adhesive.  I adhered the image panel in place then used a hole punch to punch the holes to match the card base and ornate flap.  I adhered the flap down then added some ribbons and burlap string.  The only string in my stash was a pinkish purple, so I used the darkest purple Copic marker from the flowers on the image panel and coloured it for a perfect match.
The bow is a perfect match for the purple flowers in the image panel.
The sentiment was created using a combination of two different fonts.
I matted the back of the card before tying the ribbons.  This gives me plenty of room to write a message for the birthday girl.
I finished off the card by making a belly band embellished with a layered flower.  I punched four extra large and four large flowers from white cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers to match the flowers on the image panel.  The sparkling rhinestone in the middle of the flower started off clear, so I coloured it with the yellow/gold Copic markers used for the chain and accents in the image panel.
