U is for . . . Upside Down

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt from Day 24 is the letter U

and my "U" is an Upside Down Santa.

... hmm, after looking at this photo I think I will need to mat the
inside with some scalloped blue cardstock to match the front ...

He is a flat view so that you can see the dimension of the Action Wobble Spring and the shingles on the roof.

He's so much fun that I had to make four . . .
think I might even make some more!

Let me know if you would to see a little video of Santa struggling to fit down the chimney.  I confess, I could tap his boots and watch him jiggle all day long.

P is for . . . Poinsettias

It's that time of year again . . .

The prompt from Day 18 is the letter P

It's really not Christmas without some Pots of Pretty Poinsettias dotted
around the house ... they have been a tradition at our house for many years.
Sadly I have to get new ones each year as my green thumb
does not work very well with them for the rest of the year.

Not sure how it happened, but when I made these four cards,
one base was a different green ...

I spent quite a while curling the petals and layering the flowers,
they have such lovely dimension.

Q is for . . . Quick

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt from Day 19 is the letter Q

My "Q" is for QUICK.

... and this card was super Quick using the Quality
Frank The Snowman digital stamp from Beccy's Place.

I have made several crayon colouring cards over the last few weeks, so it was pretty quick and easy to set this card up for cutting with my Silhouette Cameo and to assemble.
I opened the cut file and digital stamp, sized the image to fit the colouring panel, printed then cut with my Cameo.  I cut the card base and crayon holder, then assembled all the pieces in place with liquid adhesive and inserted the crayons.

Isn't Frank cute?

R is for . . . Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

The prompt from Day 20 is the letter R
and my card is filled with R's
Rudolph
Red-nosed
Reindeer

This super fun , super CAS card was the first thing I thought of when we came to the "R" prompt.  It was a design that I saw years ago HERE in the scrapbook.com gallery but had never ever tried.

There are eight pairs of googly eyes for Santa's eight reindeer
plus a pair with a big red rhinestone nose for Rudolph.

Do you remember the names of Santa's reindeer?

... I hope you have Christmas songs playing along in your head now :)

M is for . . . More Merry Christmas

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt from Day 15 is the letter M

My "M" is More Merry Christmas cards made using the gorgeous vase of holly from the
Blessing Of The Season digital stamp set from Beccy's Place.

Unfortunately I can't colour at the moment, so it is a real bonus having pre-coloured images in this set of digital stamps.

I opened the digital stamp in my Silhouette Studio program and cut the right edge off the image to make it fit neatly into a square.  I added a digital sentiment then printed it on textured cardstock, matting the image panel with several layers of contrasting cardstock before adhering it to a sturdy 6 1/8" square card base.

I think that I like the white-on-white version I made today.
What do you prefer, the red or the white?

L is for . . . Lots and Long

It's that time of year again . . .

The prompt from Day 14 is the letter L

My pair of snowman cards are Long with Lots of Layers.

These fancy folds are called a telescopic card, they are flat for mailing,
then, when you hold him up by his hat, the body drops down.

The secret to this fold is to have the layers linked with brads.

These cards are 12 3/4" long when fully open,
5 3/4" tall when closed and flat.

K is for . . . Kids

It's that time of year again . . .

at

The prompt from Day 13 is the letter K

My "K" project is a Kute Kids Krayon Kolouring Kard.
(yes, I know the spelling is wrong, just playing along with the "K")

I combined the Merle digital stamp from Beccy's Place with
a fun font for the sentiment, so that it can be coloured too.

I printed the image nice and large (the card front is 5 1/2" square)
and included a set of  five crayons inside,
so that little hands can have some Christmas colouring fun.

F is for . . . Fabulous Fancy Folds

The prompt from Day 7 is the letter F
My "F" is a pair of Fabulous Fancy Fold easel cards made using the beautiful Silver Bell
image from the Silver Bell digital stamp set from Beccy's Place.

Unfortunately I can't colour at the moment so it is a real bonus having pre-coloured images in this set of digital stamps.

When flat, the cards measure 5 1/2" square.

This is the front view of the open cards.

I created two different sentiments, one with a traditional font, the other with a more modern combination embellished with a tiny version of the Silver Bell image.

When open, these Fancy Folds sure look impressive.

Here are another couple of views ...

G is also for . . . Gingerbread

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the

The prompt from Day 8 is the letter G

It's not Christmas without some tasty Gingerbread, so it's the perfect time to get out the super cute Jolly Gingerbread digital stamp from Beccy's Place to make a card.
Unfortunately I can't colour at the moment (still recovering from a fall with a couple of broken bones in my arm) but I can still try my hand at making fun Christmas cards using digital stamps.

My card is a crayon colouring card.
I printed the image nice and large (the card front is 5 1/2" square)
and included a set of crayons inside,
so that little hands can have some Christmas colouring fun.

This Gingerbread Man sure is a cutie.

J is for . . . Jolly Snowman Jigsaw

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt from Day 12 is the letter J

Now you would think that my "J" would be some Jingle Bells
... and you would be wrong!

My "J" is a Jolly Snowman Jigsaw card,
using Frank the Snowman digital stamp from Beccy's Place.

I have been trying to make some creative kids projects
to share this year and thought that a jigsaw might be fun.

I started with my Silhouette Cameo design mat, opened my jigsaw cut file, decided on the size I wanted to make, printed the image on textured cardstock twice (one to cut in to jigsaw pieces & one to use for the background) then cut using my Cameo.  I made a frame to build up a border around the image and nestle the pieces in place then added it to a 5 1/2" square card base.

I cut three extra sets of jigsaw pieces in white cardstock and layered them with the image pieces to make them thicker and sturdier.
