H is for . . . Holly

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt from Day 9 is the letter H

My "H" is a gorgeous vase of Holly from the
Blessing Of The Season digital stamp set from Beccy's Place.

Unfortunately I can't colour at the moment (still recovering from a fall with a couple of broken bones in my arm) so it is a real bonus having pre-coloured images in this set of digital stamps.

I remember Beccy sharing a card made using the cropped vase of holly image
and thought it looked so elegant, so now it's my turn to make some.

I opened the digital stamp in my Silhouette Studio program and cut the right edge off the image to make it fit neatly into a square.  I added a digital sentiment then printed it on textured cardstock, matting the image panel with several layers of contrasting cardstock before adhering it to a sturdy card base.

This pair of cards are 6 1/8" square.

  1. Your cards are beautiful Tracy, such an elegant design. I love the way you've done the matting with the black, white and red layers. The sentiment you added works beautifully with the image. Great job!
    Cheers,
