Today I have used the Bunny Poop cut file & digital stamp set from The Cutting Cafe, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a bundle of Easter treats.  The Bunny Poop set comes with a variety of cut file designs for pillow boxes, along with a variety of sentiments and some Easter images.

First up is the pillow box with the bunny window.

These were so quick and easy to make, it actually took me longer to fill them than to make them.  I opened the cut file on my Silhouette Studio design mat, enlarged it to be 7 1/2" tall (with the end flaps open)  then cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I trimmed some acetate to cover the bunny "window" and adhered it in place, then adhered the side flap of the pillow box.  I embellished each pillow box with a die cut black bow tie (Take A Bow Cutaways by Winnie & Walter) and some sparkling bling (Bella borderlines) then filled them with a rainbow of tasty jelly beans.

Next came some more pillow boxes, both styles with the same sentiment, just with different verse sizes, so that I had room to include a sparkling bow on some for a more feminine touch.

As with the previous pillow boxes, I opened the cut file on my Silhouette Studio design mat and enlarged it to be 7 1/2" wide (with the end flaps open).  I printed them on 8 1/2" x 11" Kraft cardstock, then cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I printed lots of cute little bunnies (from the same Bunny Poop set), coloured them with Copic markers, fussy cut, then went around the edges with a black marker.  As I had printed the bunny image on the pillow box bases, it was just a matter of adhering the fussy cut bunnies on the bases, getting the whiskers aligned perfectly.  I confess that I had a little trouble opening the first pillow boxes I made, so I cut a little opening to a flap at each end with a circle punch, so that it's easy to poke your finger in and pull the pillow box open.

To add to the fun of the sentiment, I printed some jelly bean digital paper and fussy cut the black jelly beans to embellish under the "bunny poop" sentiment.  I added a metallic hemp cord bow to finish off the pillow boxes with the smaller verse.

Now I have bundles of treats filled and ready for sharing with family, friends and neighbours this Easter.

Today I have used a combination of stamps, inks and dies
from my precious Altenew stash.

My first card uses the Caps Bold Alphabet Die Set from Altenew.

I framed the sentiment panel with scoring then added a layer of gold glitter cardstock to add more dimension to the framing.  It looks like the sentiment is cut from the top white panel and the sparkling golden letters are peeking out from the negative space.

This 5" x 7" card uses the Altenew - Peony Bouquet Stamp Set (flowers & leaves), the Altenew - Bejeweled Stamp Set (sentiment) and several Altenew inks (details below).  This was my first time using layering stamps and I was so grateful to have my MISTI help to get good solid ink coverage with perfect repeat stamping for the flower and leaves.  I fussy cut the flower and leaves, die cut the frame (details below), then aligned them on my card base to decide the sentiment placement.  Once the sentiment was stamped I adhered the frame and flower in place to finish off the card.

Today I have used the Daisies & LadyBugs digital stamp set from Fred She Said, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make some daisy filled Spring cards.
I have to confess that this is an absolutely fabulous set of images, both as digital stamps and pre-coloured images that can be combined together.  The pre-coloured images are a real bonus when your body doesn't let you colour, so I thoroughly enjoyed fussy cutting a field of flowers to make my cards.

My first card uses the beautiful pre-coloured image panel.
I printed the panel several times, using one layer to make the 5" x 7" card panel, the others were fussy cut.  I popped the fussy cut elements with foam and layered them together over the image panel to give lots of dimension.

Here are a couple of shots showing the dimension of the popped fussy cut layers.
If you click on the image you will be able to see more detail.

Next comes my field of daisies with a cheery "hello" to welcome Spring.

It's a pop up box card.
It has lots of dimension when open and folds flat for mailing.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the card base (details below), my Fiskars grass border punch to cut the grassy panels on the bridges on the inside of the card and my Sizzix Big Shot to cut the Paper Smooches "hello" die.  To cut a long story short, I opened the images and cut file on my Silhouette Studio design mat. enlarged the card base to 11 1/2", so that it would just fit on my cutting mat, then sized the pre-coloured images to fit each panel, printed on cardstock, cut the panels with my Cameo.  I printed extra images from the card panels so that I could fussy cut the layers and pop them in place with foam for extra dimension.  I also took the single daisy image, duplicated, then mirrored, then made multiple copies in a variety of sizes, so that I had a lot of different daisies to fill my card.  I got pretty distracted while cutting my daisies and ladybugs and ended up cutting enough for several cards, even after using all these here in the pop up box card.  I went around the edges of each piece with Memento Tuxedo Black Dual Tip marker to give them a neat finish, instead of showing the white core of the cardstock.  I needed support for the daisy stems and the acetate I use to make shaker cards is pretty flimsy, so I stretched my stash and trimmed the packaging from a pair of Big Shot cutting pads to make narrow strips.  I adhered the daisies to the acetate strips, so they were well supported to stand tall but still a little flexible to "float" around.  I made three "bridges" to go inside the card, punched a 12" strip of grass and trimmed it down to cover the front of each bridge and inside the front of the card.  I adhered a variety of daisies to each grassy strip then adhered them in place ... it was pretty fiddly but well worth the effort.  I die cut five of the "hello" words and layered them together before adhering to the front panel.

This fancy fold card folds flat for mailing.

As with my first card, the daisies and ladybugs on the flaps and back panel were layered with foam for extra dimension.  The sentiment really popped when the five layers with adhered together.

Here are some more photos of the open pop up box card
... the flowers and dimension make me feel happy :)

The patterned paper around the base makes it look like a basket filled with flowers.

my favourite colour today is blue - lots of blue sky and blue accents on the flowers ... when I look at my card it has touches of most colours of the rainbow, just missing violet, perhaps I should add a purple butterfly :)
(I confess,
it's usually green as it's part of nearly every project I make, it works perfectly with every colour of the rainbow ... and I could not resist adding four rows of neatly trimmed green grass to the middle of my card)

a rainbow of luck

It's time for another challenge with us at the

This week we are letting our creative juices flow with
Yes, there is a difference between Shamrocks and Clovers.
Here is a little of what I have found HERE in cyberland:
The word shamrock comes from the Gaelic word Seamrog, meaning “little clover”.  A clover is the commonly used name for any number of plants belonging to the genus Trifolium, meaning “having three leaves".  Even among botanists, there is some disagreement on what species is the “true” shamrock, but most agree that the White Clover is probably the original shamrock of Irish symbolic heritage.  While trying to convert the Irish into Christians, St. Patrick used the shamrock to explain the holy trinity with each leaf representing the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The three leaves of a shamrock are also said to stand for faith, hope and love.  A fourth leaf is where we get the luck from.  The four-leafed clover, or “lucky clover”, is an uncommon variation of the three-leafed clover, and widely considered to be a symbol of good luck.  Because they are a mutation, they are rare, and not found in the same abundance as the shamrock, and thus, considered lucky.  The traditional Irish symbol of a shamrock does not include the fourth leaf.

Today I have used the St. Patrick’s Day Mini Kit digital stamp set from Ike's Art, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a two cards.
Lucky I did a bit of homework for these cards (see the italics at the top of this post).
The cute little bear has shamrocks on his paws and a bunch of shamrocks in his hat.
The round "good luck" card has a shamrock frame and the rainbow "Lucky" card has an ornate panel with four leaf clovers ... does that mean it's extra lucky?

This post is to focus on my second card, the ornate shamrock panel with the rainbow sentiment.

FULL details about BOTH cards can be found HERE
