Today I have used #1 & #12 papers from the Flower Fun 12 sheet
digital paper set by Lozzy at A Bit More Time To Craft
to make a 3D hat easel birthday card with a matching gift box
Digital paper sets are wonderful because you can size the patterned papers to suit each project and you never, ever run out of your favourite designs, they're just a printer away. The other bonus is having the option on smooth or textured cardstock finishes. One day I will try them on vellum or even acetate.
I started by opening the cut files for the card and gift box and sorting out all the pieces required as there are two different box options, I went with the deeper design. I sized the Flower Fun digital papers to 5 1/4" and made extra copies to use with each element. I removed the colour from the pieces that were to become decorative patterned paper elements then placed each one over the digital papers and grouped so that I could align the elements to fit on sheets of A4 cardstock for printing. I cut all the pieces (printed & plain cardstock) using my Cameo, burnished the folds and assembled using liquid adhesive. I added a ribbon accent to the hat and used the same ribbon to make triple bows for the card and box. This was my first time making a special bow and using my Bow-It-All, it's a cool tool that I need to practice with more to get them "just right". I punched lots of different sizes flowers from cardstock, curled the petals, layering them together and finishing each one off with a black rhinestone. I used a combination of foam dots and liquid adhesives to secure the bows, flowers and leaves in place.

I am thrilled with how this set turned out, the papers are so pretty and the fancy folds filled with fun, so of course I have to share some more photos . . .

I hope that I have inspired you to get creative
