Today I have used the Rory Heart You digital stamp from Colour Of Love,
one of our generous sponsors this month, to make some fancy fold birthday cards.
The image has lots of hearts and I have added lots of heart-shaped balloons,
perfect for our new challenge theme.
I made two of these hearty gatefold cards,
this post is to focus on the one with the red base.

I printed the image panels on X-Press It blending card, heat set,
trimmed to size (4" x 5 1/4") and coloured with Copic markers.
I originally planned to make these cards with my Silhouette Cameo but that was not to be, so I printed the balloon string and sentiment panels then trimmed them with my trusty craft knife on my beloved self healing cutting mat. I matted each panel with black cardstock and trimmed to 1/16" borders with a Perfect Layers Ruler. I die cut a bundle of balloons (details of the Paper Smooches dies linked below) from X-Press It blending card and coloured them with Copic markers to match the image panels. I measured the cardstock to make the card bases, scoring the folds on my scoreboard. I used liquid adhesive to secure all the layers in place. The panel for the card bases is 5 5/8" x 9", scored at 2 1/4" and 6 3/4".
These gatefold cards have balloons decorating the panels, inside and out.
There is a sentiment panel on the back of each card too.
