Beccy's Place Day 21 - S is for . . . Second S card

I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge

~~~*~~~*~~~
(Beccy's post with "S" inspiration words and
Sweet Stanley card to inspire are HERE)
My "S" project is a real tongue twister . . .
Santa on his Sleigh making a Sweet Scene through the window,
flying high in the Sky with Softly falling Sparkling Snow.
My first "S" project was an {almost} Slimline Simple Sparkling Silver card HERE.
Today I have a Santa Sleigh card
... Santa is flying high in the Sky making his Special deliveries.
No colouring by me today ... instead I have used a cut file to make my card with Santa on his Sleigh making a Sweet Scene through the window against the Sparkling Snow background.  ... I let my Silhouette Cameo do all (most) of the work with a purchased cut file.  I enlarged the panel for a 5" x 7" card (and made a card white base because I ran out of my pre-scored ones).  Once cut, all I had to do was gather my glue, foam squares and tweezers (some of the pieces are small and fiddly) and assemble the pieces.  I added Stardust Stickles to the falling snow in the background.  Instead of tying a red bow to the windowsill, I die cut one from red cardstock.
Day 23 - U
(Beccy's post with "U" inspiration words and handsome
Nutcracker in Uniform card to inspire are HERE)
My "U" project is an Upside-down Christmas Elf.
My first "U" project was Upside-down Santa gift card holders HERE.
Today I have an Upside Christmas Elf card
... I don't know if he's helping Santa or trying out for the Naughty List.
No colouring by me today ... instead I have used a cut file to make my card filled with elfish fun.  ... I let my Silhouette Cameo do all (most) of the work with a purchased cut file.  I enlarged the panel for a 5" x 7" card (and made a card white base because I ran out of my pre-scored ones).  Once cut, all I had to do was gather my glue, foam squares and tweezers (some of the pieces are small and fiddly) and assemble the pieces.  I added Stardust Stickles to the falling snow in the background and rhinestones to the hat and shoes ... I ran out of yellow rhinestones, so I used my rich yellow alcohol marker to create some that were perfect for the job.
(Beccy's post with "D" inspiration words and super cute digital stamp
kangaroo with die cuts card to inspire are HERE)
My "D" project is a Digital stamp with a Disco Dancing Diva,
Edna the hen.
No colouring by me today ... instead I have used a pre-coloured image by Beccy.
My card uses the pre-coloured Edna image from the Poultry In Motion digital stamp set from the Beccy's Place Store and the “rockin’ those Jingle Bells” sentiment from the Sing Joy digital stamp setalso from the Beccy's Place Store... I had great plans to tie small bells to some twine but I put them in such a "safe" place in my stash that I couldn't find them, they still didn't turn up before the end of the month ... today is our very last day and I'm thrilled to have been able to get a pack of little bells just in time to cross the line before the linky closes.  I sized the image and sentiment to fit on a 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" and printed on textured cardstock.  I trimmed the panel to size then pulled out my ruler and pencil to work out the exact spot to punch out a half 1/4" circle to make a notch at each side of the card the wind the twine around.  I wound the twine around three times and secured it at the back of the panel.  I cut a length of the twine and untwisted it so that I could use the golden thread to make a loop for the bell.  I took another length of twine, poked it through the golden thread loop and under the three strands of twine, tying the bow to secure them all together.  Next came a white foam sheet, I trimmed it into two pieces to fit under the image panel, either side of the twine strands.  I used liquid adhesive to secure the foam panels in place.  After running out of pre-scored card bases, I quickly made a 5" x 7" card base using my scoreboard and bone folder then covered it with a panel of rich red cardstock.  Lucky last came joining the two together, the same liquid adhesive worked perfectly to hold the foam under the image panel to the matted card base, so that Edna the Disco Dancing Diva could rock the Jingle Bell.
Beccy's Place Day 30 - Do What You Love - 4
I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge
~~~*~~~*~~~

(Beccy's post with elegant holly cards to inspire is HERE)

Well, it's no secret, I love making cards, so I've made some more cards.
My cards use the "Holly Branch 2" pre-coloured image from the
Holly Days digital stamp set from the Beccy's Place Store.
I made four cards using the Holly Brough image and two cards using the Holly Sprig from this same set earlier today, it's a delightful set with four different holly images and a cluster with bells.

My cards use the "Holly Branch 2" pre-coloured image from the
Holly Days digital stamp set from the Beccy's Place Store.

I opened the Holly Branch 2 image in Silhouette Studio as it is a great tool for designing cards and printing panels, it's not just for cutting.  I sized the image to fit nicely on a 5" x 7" panel and added a sentiment.  I flipped the image to make another card and added the same sentiment, so even though there are two cards using the same image, they're still one-of-a-kind.  I added a thin black line to the panel, printed then manually cut down to size before adhering the image panels to the card bases.  I used some heavy (300gsm) smooth white cardstock to the make card bases ... I've made so many cards that I ran out of my pre-scored supply, a good problem to have as it means I've been more productive than I thought I could ever be.

I added a touch of golden sparkle to the accents on the leaves and berries using a
Wink Of Stella glitter brush.  It's hard to capture in a photo, hope you can see it.
You might need to click on the image to view it in full screen,
... the sparkle is definitely there.

Well, it's no secret, I love making cards, so I've made some more cards.
My cards use the "Holly Sprig" pre-coloured image from the

I made two side folding and two top folding cards using the

Beccy's Place Day 27 - y is for . . .

I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge

~~~*~~~*~~~
(Beccy's post with "Y" inspiration words and delightful
stacked yellow gifts card to inspire are HERE)
My "Y" project is a Yummy Yuletide Tree with Yellow bling.
I used the Mix & Match Tree Box Trio - cut file from My Scrap Chick to make a six-sided tree shaped treat box, the first of several that I need to make.  Our regional families were severely affected by the record breaking flooding last month, so much devastation and loss.  Needless to say, Christmas is the LAST thing they're thinking of at the moment.  Not being in their own home means none of the usual decorations and limited space for anything, so my plan is to send them this to sit on the dining table.
It can be their mini Christmas Tree and the
lid lifts off easily to reward them with a tasty treat.
It's quite large too, the hexagonal base is 7 1/2" from point-to-point, 6 1/2" from flat-side-to flat-side and stands 9" high.  It's amazing what you can make from two sheets of A4 glitter cardstock and four sheets of 12" x 12" textured cardstock (2 x green, 2 x brown).
The box under the tree lid is huge ...
Wondering how many tasty treats fit inside?
... forty-seven ... yes, 47 treats fitted inside and it's HEAVY ...
I might have to get a sturdy tray or cake stand for it.
PS - I have never used pearl strands before and I tell you, I was lucky I had my husband help me try to tame the strand while I tried to secure them in place by sticking a poinsettia on top at points along the way ... it was a very creative version of twister!  Next time I hope I remember to put a glue dot under the pearl strand on the tree then glue a poinsettia on top later, it really does have a mind of its' own!
*** INGREDIENTS ***
I made the 6-sided tree box
Silhouette Cameo - to cut the pieces
12" x 12" textured cardstock - 2 x green, 2 x brown, 1 x crimson
A4 glitter cardstock - 2 sheets
liquid adhesive
Helmar 450 Quick dry for larger panels / layers
Helmar Acid Free Professional for the smaller pieces / flaps
rhinestones - for middle of poinsettia flowers
I didn't have any yellow left so used a rich yellow alcohol marker to
colour clear rhinestones and transform them into pretty yellow gems
pearl strand - to decorate tree
glue dots - to glue the poinsettias and pearl stand in place
