It's funny how cards evolve.
When I first saw this photo inspiration and colour combo fromWaffle Flower, I immediately thought of a pastel rainbow with the "what makes you different makes you perfect" sentiment from the Hibiscus stamp set.
Then I thought, why not an hibiscus garland?
Well I stamped, fussy cut and coloured a bundle of little hibiscus flowers and made them into a garland with twine that had a strand of gold running through it. It looked like a pretty pastel lei but ever so stark against the white background of my card base, so I stepped outside the colour palette and placed it against a sheet of ombre green paper and it look much better, especially with the toucan on the branch in the darkest section. What do you think?
This is awesome!! Love the pretty flower garland.

DeleteThis is so pretty, Tracy. I love the sentiment. :) So sweet. Also, great fussy cutting and I really like the toucan and the ombre green background. This is lovely, Chris. I am totally inspired to try this technique with the distress ink, smooshing on the glossy cs and covering cling wrap. I have tried something similar with water color paper and Brusho crystals with spray starch. Your results really are beautiful. Thanks for the kind comment on my chalkboard MM Tutorial for STAMPlorations. I appreciate your time. :)
