This is my fourth card for today, this time I used the Roses and Butterflies digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps, to make a card filled with hugs.

I printed the image panel on A5 X-Press It blending card, heat set, coloured with Copic markers, then trimmed down to size.

Next I tried something different.

. . . VERY nervously, I aligned the "hugs" sentiment die over
the coloured image panel and ran it through my Big Shot.

I matted the image panel and adhered it to a 6x6" card base.
I aligned the "hugs" back in the "window" of the image panel, using it as a guide to adhere the "negative" bits from the die cut sentiment.  I die cut the "hugs" sentiment seven (yes, you read it right, 7) times from black cardstock, adhering them together under the "coloured" die cut sentiment, then adhered it back into the image panel.

What do you think?

I matted the inside of the card to match the front and added another die cut hugs.

Here are another couple of photos, you can click on the image to view in full screen.

This is my third card for today using some of the Naturally Cool digital papers from Decosse Dynamite Doodles, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a CAS A5 top folding masculine 21st birthday card.

I printed each of the blue shades of Naturally Cool blue papers on A4 white cardstock.
Starting with an A5 panel of white textured cardstock, I die cut the offset pinked circle window, then aligned the die with the lightest blue patterned paper, cutting it slightly to the left of the position of the white one, repeating for each colour until I hit the bottom solid, darkest panel.  I used liquid adhesive to secure all the layers in the pinked window in place.  It can up pretty thick, so I added foam adhesive around the edges & randomly around the panel to support it nice and flat.  Just to ensure the pinked window sat flat, I adhered some layers of cardstock until it was the same thickness as the foam.  I adhered the panel to an A5 top folding card base.
I used the darkest paper from the set to die cut the "happy birthday" sentiment.
I die cut the "21" five times from white cardstock, adhered
them together then secured them in the middle of the pinked circle.

I matted the inside of the card with layers of all the patterned papers,
leaving the top panel white for writing some cheery 21st birthday wishes.

These digital papers have a lovely pattern and texture, especially on textured cardstock.

This is my second card for today using some of the Naturally Cool digital papers from Decosse Dynamite Doodles, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a CAS A5 top folding masculine birthday card.

I have combined some digital elements to create the background the dark grey patterned paper and some dark grey digital staples.  I printed the panel on A5 textured white cardstock.  It looks like the grey panel is stapled to the white panel.  Next came the paper for the sentiment.  I printed the darkest paper from the set on textured white cardstock then die cut the "happy birthday" sentiment.  I adhered the front panel to an A5 top folding card base to complete the card.

The staples are really cool too, the shading really gives them dimension and it looks like they are piercing the different patterned papers to secure them together in place.  This time I carefully added Glossy Accents to each staple and they look even more awesome.
These digital papers have a lovely pattern and texture.

Today I have used some of the Naturally Cool digital papers from Decosse Dynamite Doodles, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a CAS A5 top folding masculine birthday card.

I have combined some digital elements to create the background from two shades of patterned paper and some digital staples.  I printed the panel on A5 textured white cardstock.  Next came the paper for the sentiment.  I printed the darkest paper from the set on textured white cardstock then die cut the "happy birthday" sentiment.  I made a landscape top folding card base by scoring an A4 sheet of heavy white cardstock, then adhered the front panel to complete the card.

Check out the fabulous patterns in these digital papers.

The staples are really cool too, the shading really gives them dimension and it looks like they are piercing the different patterned papers to secure them together in place.
