even more EXCITING news ... Through The Craft Room Door

I have some even more EXCITING NEWS!

Today I am
Guest Designer
on the
~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I had the pleasure of colouring and creating with the super cute Cloudy Rain Cloud With Raindrops digital stamp from Wink Wink Ink to make some cheery rainbow cards.
This cute digital stamp comes with both a B&W image and a pre-coloured image,
so I decided to use both.
I placed the images on my Silhouette Cameo design mat, added my sentiment and sized them to make a front panels for an A5 top folding card.  I printed the precoloured image on blue A5 cardstock and the B&W image on A5 X-Press It Blending card.  I also printed the precoloured and B&W images on white cardstock and heat them too.
I took the B&W image, added some X-Press Mask-It and fussy cut it out, trimming to the inner edges of the cloud (so that when I applied the mask it will not leave a white edge when I ink around the masked cloud).
I took the precoloured image and fussy cut it out, then went around the outer edges with a black marker for a neat finish.
Here is the fussy cut precoloured cloud
 and here is my Copic marker coloured cloud.
Next was my time to get inky, very inky ... I ended up with blue fingers!
I took the blue panel, used a white gel pen to colour the raindrops, inked the background with Distress Inks, heat set then finished it off by adhering the fussy cut cloud in place.
For the B&W image panel, I took the mask and placed it over the cloud, inked the background with Distress Inks, heat set then coloured the cloud with Copic markers and the raindrops with a white gel pen.  I was quite surprised with the result, there really isn't much difference between the white vs blue cardstock after the inking.
The "RAIN" and "rainbows" sentiments for both cards are AC DIY Thickers.  I went around the edges of each letter with a rainbow of Copic markers then smothered them with the matching glitter.  The colour was a bit pale with just a single layer of glitter, so I went over each letter with liquid adhesive and added another layer for a rich, sparkling finish.
If you have visited before, you will know that I always have extra photos to share
NOW it's YOUR turn!
I hope that I have inspired you to get creative and make a project to enter the challenge for
HO HO HO ... Holiday Cheer!
It's time for another challenge with us at the
This week we are letting our creative juices flow with
Challenge #128 - Any Holiday
I have chosen Christmas and look forward to seeing what holiday you choose.
      Prize: 2 Digital Images                        Prize: 3 Digital Images
~~~*~~~*~~~

The challenge is "Any Holiday" and today I have used the Joyous Elf digital stamp from Rick St. Dennis, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a cute and cheery Christmas card.

My card is a 6x6" top fold.
I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set then coloured with Copic markers.  I coloured a couple of images with lots of shading then decided that this little elf needed solid bright colours.  I trimmed the panel down to 3 1/2" square, matted with black then green cardstock.  I matted the card base with green, black and white textured cardstock then adhered four panels of pretty patterned paper, topping it off with the matted image panel.

The sentiment and bow are die cuts by Paper Smooches.

I finished off the card with a touch of Wink Of Stella sparkle on each of the bells.

I had so much fun with this little cutie that I made two cards.
You can learn more about my second card HERE.

Crafty Gals Corner - Challenge #104 - Use Something New

It's time for another challenge with us at the Crafty Gals Corner

This week we are letting our creative juices flow
with Challenge #104 - Use Something New

Our generous sponsors this week are:

Prize - 2 digital images

Prize - $15 Gift Certificate

Today I have used the Season's Tweetings digital stamp from Wink Wink Ink, one of our generous sponsors this week.  I have used several new items too, from all the different snowflake cut files and film strip cut file, to the pretty holly & berries gemstones (details listed below).

My card is a 6 x 6" top fold.
I coloured the image using Copic markers.
The snowflakes, film strip and polaroid frame were cut using my Silhouette Cameo.
I coloured the snowy portion of the snowman & background of his "photo" with Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush.  I also coloured each of the snowflakes, so they all have a delicate sparkle.
The snowflakes are adhered using a combination of foam dots and liquid adhesive.

I have layered lots of snowflakes of different designs and sizes to make a sparkling dimensional cluster.  It's a challenge to take a photo showing the layers and sparkle on the white-on-white.

Here is a close-up showing some of the delicate sparkle.

PS - the pretty holly & berries gemstones were part of my "something new" (Thank You Lena) and I tried something new with them too.  The green was a different shade to the holly on my snowman's hat, so I took the darkest of the markers I used to colour them in and coloured the gemstones.  As you can see, it worked a treat and I look forward to having more colour coordinated embellishements in the future, thanks to my Copic markers.
The top left cluster is the coloured one.
