Today I have used the Kidz Daisy digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps,
one of our generous sponsors, to make a pair of birthday cards.

As Bugaboo Stamps is one of the sponsors, I decided to be inspired by the current challenges on their Catch The Bug Challenge Blog, where I have used both the sketch for Stella Says Sketch 804 and the February BINGO Challenge (images and links below).

This post is to focus on my "happy happy" birthday card.

You read all about my other "happy birthday" card HERE
or by clicking on the photo below

  I sized image to fit in a 3" circle, printed on X-Press It blending card, heat set, die cut, then coloured with Copic markers.  As I was making two cards, I decided to flip the image and make the second card opposite to the first, along with a different sentiment.  I used two birthday sentiments (details & links below) and instead of cutting them, I printed them on a textured cardstock panel for what was going to be 5" x 7" cards.  I die cut matting circle and scalloped layers for the image panels.  I punched, curled and layered lots of flowers, adding a black pearl to the centre of each one.  I sized a digital floral patterned paper (details & link below) and printed it on textured cardstock and trimmed panels down to size (2 1/2" x 5 1/2").  I used a border punch to make the contrasting scallop panels.

This card used the "flipped" Kidz Daisy digital stamp
I hope it makes you feel "happy happy"

A Gift For You

*** updated 11.45pm 21st February ***
My tags are finished and I now have some photos to share.
Sending apologies to Lou and the rest of the Southern Girls Design Team.

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are:

Avery Elle

Krafters Cart

Stampers Delights

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the Chibi A Gift 4 U Boy digital stamp by Stampers Delightsone of our generous sponsors this fortnight, to make a birthday gift card tag.
I opened the Chibi A Gift 4 U Boy digital stamp and cut file (details & link below) and sized the image to fit on the front of the tag (instead of the Christmas Tree).   I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, cut with my Silhouette Cameo, then coloured with Copic markers.  I typed the sentiment in a fun font, (details & link below) curved it to fit within the top layer of the banner cut file, printed then cut with my Cameo.  I cut the base and layered sentiment then adhered the layers using liquid adhesive and finished it off with several strands of twine.
Sending apologies to Lou and the rest of the Southern Girls Design Team.
My hands are not co-operating very well at the moment, so I started colouring two image panels to make sure that I ended up with a "mistake free" project to share.  Luckily both panels were completed without any "oops", so of course I had to make a second gift card tag.
Here is the light blue tag with the pale orange accents.
Here is the bright blue tag with bright orange accents.
The tags have a pretty front panel and there are notches inside (left) to tuck a gift card.  I created a second panel to mat inside the tag, so that I can write a sentiment.
Did you notice that I used the name of the digital image as my sentiment?
Today I have used the LeAnn's Party digital stamp from LeAnn's World 101, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make a pair of birthday cards.  Once I decided on my design, I sized the image and layers on my Silhouette Studio design mat.  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set then coloured with Copic markers.  I adjusted the size of a banner cut file (details & link below) and created a sentiment (details & link below), printed on cardstock then cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  The patterned paper panel is digital (details below), which I sized to 5 1/4" square, printed on textured cardstock then manually cut.
I used glitter gel pens to colour the streamers, confetti and candles,
it's a challenge to capture the pretty sparkle in the photos.
I coloured the "hollow" areas of the sentiment with the
RV63 Copic marker to match the colour theme of the cards.
