Making a splash . . . without the splash

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

Today I have used the Ambrose King of the Waves digital stamp from Doctor Digi's House Of Stamps, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make a pair of CAS birthday cards.

I opened the image in Silhouette Studio and sized it for the front of a 5" x 7" card front (image is 2 1/2" high) and created a sentiment by combining two fonts (details below).  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, trimmed to size, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I made a top folding card base from heavy white cardstock and used liquid adhesive to secure the image panel in place.  For the second card, I added a digital water splash (details below), printed on X-Press It blending card, heat set and coloured with Copic markers (a different combo to the first card, details below).  I made a top folding card base from heavy white cardstock and used liquid adhesive to secure the image panel in place.

... and here is the second card, with the big blue splash

Having A Bad Hair Day?

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

Today I have used the Hairdresser Hannah digital stamp to make a punny birthday card.
How cute is this old couple?

I opened the image in Silhouette Studio, along with the digital argyle paper (details & links below) and designed the elements for my card.  Once I had the layers sized, I printed the image panel on X-Press It blending card, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I confess, I  printed three image panels on the one sheet but had had an inky accident, dropping my YG63 marker when colouring Hannah's dress.  Sadly it bounced over two panels and no amount of my magic "O" could get rid of it.
Anyway, back on track again, after colouring the image panel then trimmed it to size.  I combined three different fonts to make the sentiment, printed on weave cardstock then trimmed to size.  I sized the digital argyle paper to make a 5" x 7" panel, printed on weave cardstock then trimmed to size.   I matted all three panels with weave cardstock, getting the perfect border on each one with the 1/16" Perfect Layers ruler.  I used liquid adhesive to adhere all the layers then adhered the completed panel to a 5" x 7" card base and it was finished.
