Beccy's Place Day 30 - Do What You Love - 4

I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge

(Beccy's post with elegant holly cards to inspire is HERE)

Well, it's no secret, I love making cards, so I've made some more cards.
My cards use the "Holly Branch 2" pre-coloured image from the
Holly Days digital stamp set from the Beccy's Place Store.
I made four cards using the Holly Brough image and two cards using the Holly Sprig from this same set earlier today, it's a delightful set with four different holly images and a cluster with bells.

My cards use the "Holly Branch 2" pre-coloured image from the
Holly Days digital stamp set from the Beccy's Place Store.

I opened the Holly Branch 2 image in Silhouette Studio as it is a great tool for designing cards and printing panels, it's not just for cutting.  I sized the image to fit nicely on a 5" x 7" panel and added a sentiment.  I flipped the image to make another card and added the same sentiment, so even though there are two cards using the same image, they're still one-of-a-kind.  I added a thin black line to the panel, printed then manually cut down to size before adhering the image panels to the card bases.  I used some heavy (300gsm) smooth white cardstock to the make card bases ... I've made so many cards that I ran out of my pre-scored supply, a good problem to have as it means I've been more productive than I thought I could ever be.

I added a touch of golden sparkle to the accents on the leaves and berries using a
Wink Of Stella glitter brush.  It's hard to capture in a photo, hope you can see it.
You might need to click on the image to view it in full screen,
... the sparkle is definitely there.

Beccy's Place Day 27 - y is for . . .

I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge

~~~*~~~*~~~
(Beccy's post with "Y" inspiration words and delightful
stacked yellow gifts card to inspire are HERE)
My "Y" project is a Yummy Yuletide Tree with Yellow bling.
I used the Mix & Match Tree Box Trio - cut file from My Scrap Chick to make a six-sided tree shaped treat box, the first of several that I need to make.  Our regional families were severely affected by the record breaking flooding last month, so much devastation and loss.  Needless to say, Christmas is the LAST thing they're thinking of at the moment.  Not being in their own home means none of the usual decorations and limited space for anything, so my plan is to send them this to sit on the dining table.
It can be their mini Christmas Tree and the
lid lifts off easily to reward them with a tasty treat.
It's quite large too, the hexagonal base is 7 1/2" from point-to-point, 6 1/2" from flat-side-to flat-side and stands 9" high.  It's amazing what you can make from two sheets of A4 glitter cardstock and four sheets of 12" x 12" textured cardstock (2 x green, 2 x brown).
The box under the tree lid is huge ...
Wondering how many tasty treats fit inside?
... forty-seven ... yes, 47 treats fitted inside and it's HEAVY ...
I might have to get a sturdy tray or cake stand for it.
PS - I have never used pearl strands before and I tell you, I was lucky I had my husband help me try to tame the strand while I tried to secure them in place by sticking a poinsettia on top at points along the way ... it was a very creative version of twister!  Next time I hope I remember to put a glue dot under the pearl strand on the tree then glue a poinsettia on top later, it really does have a mind of its' own!
*** INGREDIENTS ***
I made the 6-sided tree box
Silhouette Cameo - to cut the pieces
12" x 12" textured cardstock - 2 x green, 2 x brown, 1 x crimson
A4 glitter cardstock - 2 sheets
liquid adhesive
Helmar 450 Quick dry for larger panels / layers
Helmar Acid Free Professional for the smaller pieces / flaps
rhinestones - for middle of poinsettia flowers
I didn't have any yellow left so used a rich yellow alcohol marker to
colour clear rhinestones and transform them into pretty yellow gems
pearl strand - to decorate tree
glue dots - to glue the poinsettias and pearl stand in place
Beccy's Place Day 10 - I is for . . . ink
 I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge
~~~*~~~*~~~

(Beccy's post with "I" inspiration words and
tasty Indigo card to inspire are HERE)

My "I" project is INK, lots of printer ink.

I used the pre-coloured Santa Frame, Frosty Frame and Moose Frame images
to make a set of eight folded tags.

They're an odd size because I wanted to fit them on a sheet of 12" x 12" textured cardstock.  Eight tags fitted neatly on the sheet, with a black line outlining each tag, so it was easy for me to cut out each tag using my ruler and craft knife.  I scored each panel, folded and burnished with a bone folder.  Each folded tag measures 59mm wide x 73mm high.  I'm thinking about punching a hole in the back panel of each tag, up near the top, beside the fold and threading some red ribbon through to attach to gifts.

(Beccy's post with "CAS Design" definition and elegant
candy cane card to inspire are HERE)

I confess, I love CAS cards and was thrilled to make some for today's prompt,
so thrilled that this is my second pair of CAS cards
using a different image from the same set.

My "CAS Design" cards use "Holly Branch 2",
a pre-coloured image from the Holly Days digital stamp set

I opened the Holly Branch 2 image in Silhouette Studio as it is a great tool for designing cards and printing panels, it's not just for cutting.  I sized the image to fit nicely on a 5" x 7" panel and added a sentiment.  I flipped the image to make another card and added the same sentiment, so even though there are two cards using the same image, they're still one-of-a-kind.  I added a thin black line to the panel, printed then manually cut down to size before adhering the image panels to the card bases.  I used some heavy (300gsm) smooth white cardstock to the make card bases ... I've made so many cards this month that I ran out of my pre-scored supply, a good problem to have as it means I've been more productive than I thought I could ever be.
