Today I have used the Daisy Clipart Frames digital stamp and Digital Plaid Paper from Twinkle Lane Designs, one of our generous sponsors this week,
to make tag with matching card.

The tag is a fussy cut daisy frame and has a matching card to finish off the set.

This card is a fancy fold called a Gatefold Centre Easel Card

... a real tongue-twister that looks pretty spectacular when open (and closed).
It has a sleeve / belly band to hold the card closed.

Here's how it's made: I opened the daisy frame image panel, plaid paper panel and cut file (all links are below) in my Silhouette Studio.  I enlarged the card base to just fit on my cutting mat (11.75"), sized the daisy frame to fit on the centre easel panel, sized the plaid paper panel to fit the decorative matting panels, sized the daisy to fit the medallion of the card sleeve, printed them all on textured cardstock then cut them with my Silhouette Cameo.  I fussy cut the daisy on the card sleeve / belly band and the daisy frame that was used to make the tag.  I went around the edges of the fussy cut panels with a Memento Tuxedo Black Dual Tip Marker to give them a neat finish.
I punched a hole in the top of the tag and threaded a knotted ribbon through it,
just above the die cut bow.

I coloured the daisies with glitter gel pens.  The colours are so rich, the inks so juicy, with the red and pink blending together perfectly, the sparkle is delightful too.

Here is a close-up of the card panel.

Here is a close-up of the tag.
If you click on the image, you should be able to see the
stitched detail in the die cut alphas, matching the frame border.

Here is a close-up of the "card sleeve / belly band" for the card.

Instead of cutting the folds with the Cameo, I used my scoreboard to manually score the folds then burnished them with a bone folder.  I adhered the layers to the card base using liquid adhesive, finishing off the image panel with a die cut sentiment and bow.  The alphas used for the sentiment have stitched detail, so they work wonderfully with the stitching of the daisy frame.

The sentiment block used to stand up the easel panel is a "today and always" sentiment matted on three layers of scalloped cardstock.

I made two cards so that you can see what the card looks like when closed and open at the same time.  The belly band slides smoothly off the closed card.

What do you think?

a wreath filled with deepest sympathy

Sadly we needed a little too many sympathy cards during 2018.
It's always harder to make them when you need them, so I plan on making some to have ready and waiting in my stash.  This is my second set of designs for 2019.

These CAS cards use a pre-coloured wreath digital stamp from the Fall Cotton Wreath Digital Stamp Set [DIGI3150J] (details and links below) by Sparkle N Sprinkle.
I opened the wreath image in Silhouette Studio, added "with our" to the sentiment banner, sized two to make 5" x 7" card panels, printed on A4 textured cardstock, heat set then manually trimmed to make image panels to add to 5" x 7" card bases.  I played around with the size and position of the wreath so that I could make several slightly different cards.

Next came something I don't do often enough.

I made the card bases with sentiments inside.

One sentiment is a simple "Thinking of you and sending our Deepest Sympathy for your loss" using the same "Deepest Sympathy" sentiment from the Fall Cotton Wreath Digital Stamp Set used on the front of the card and added the extra text (font details below).  I printed the sentiment on a sheets of A4 textured cardstock, manually trimmed down to 10" x 7", scored at 5", folded and burnished with a bone folder and I had a card bases with a sentiment inside.

The other sentiment design is a two pager.
While I still had my original simple sentiment open in Silhouette Studio, I duplicated it (saving the original copy) and added the beautiful "Those We Love" verse from the Memory In Our Hearts Digital Stamp Set to the inside left of the card.  As with the single sentiment, I printed them on sheets of A4 textured cardstock, manually trimmed down to 10" x 7", scored at 5", folded and burnished with a bone folder to make some more card bases.

I adhered the image panels to the card bases with the sentiments inside
and soon had a set of cards completed.

Here they are, all together
... I'm not so sure that I like the offset one.

These wreaths are warm and wonderful, filled with comfort and love.
I'm so glad knowing that I have these in my stash,
hoping that I won't be needing them for a long time.

Today I have used the Emily Showers Of Love Digital Stamp Set [Digi831FS] digital stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make some cards filled with LOVE.

This delightful digital stamp set comes with the digital image, pre-coloured image and several sentiments.  My road to recovery is very bumpy, so it was wonderful to be able to use the pre-coloured image.  I opened the image in Silhouette Studio and made it in two sizes to fit on to matted A5 card bases.  I added the sentiments and printed them on textured cardstock ... wow ... they came out looking like paintings.  I used my Perfect Layers Rulers to add different matting layers to each panel, adhered to A5 card bases then finished them off with sparkling Stardust Stickles.
It's so hard to capture the delicate sparkle of the raining hearts and purple panel.

... if you click on the photos below you should be able to see some sparkle

Animal antics with Team Lou & The Southern Girls

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the Beautiful Wings clear stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs,
one of our generous sponsors this fortnight, to make a pair of CAS cards.
I pulled out my MISTI, combined a butterfly with two sentiment stamps and stamped them on A5 X-Press It blending card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I heat set the panels, coloured with Copic markers, adhered to a A5 top folding card bases then secured the bling flourishes in place.
Full details about the
Animal Antics with Team Lou Challenge
and my cards can be found HERE.
This post is to focus on my card with the heart in the flourish.
I adjusted the placement so that the top 1/3 of the card was "white space"
and added some extra LOVE with a little heart inside the flourish.
Can you read the sentiment?
It says:
Such a delightful way to share some love all-year-long,
not just for Valentine's Day.
I pulled out my MISTI, combined a butterfly with two sentiment stamps and stamped them on A5 X-Press It blending card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Of course, when you're using your MISTI, you have to ask the question, why make just one when I can stamp two at the same time?  To make them a little different, I moved one panel down lower in the MISTI so that it would be higher on the panel.  I heat set the panels, coloured with Copic markers, adhered to A5 top folding card bases then secured the bling flourishes in place.
LOVE grows here
Here is a card that I made for my parents.
It's nice to remind them how much they're loved.
The heart is a delightful cut file (link below) that I made using my Silhouette Cameo.
I added some offset layers to the heart, then enlarged them all (including the butterfly) to fit on a 6 1/4" card base (the top white heart flourish / butterfly layer is 5.3" wide).  I matted the card base with textured cardstock then adhered all the layers in place using liquid adhesive.  Only the body of the butterfly is adhered to the card, the wings are gently rolled upwards for delicate dimension.  The sentiment is a combination of three different fonts.  I printed the sentiment on white textured cardstock, trimmed down to 5" wide, matted with black cardstock, then popped in place using foam squares.
Here are some more photos. click on them to view in full screen.
