Another Flower Cone from Penny's

You may have seen my earlier post sharing my Flower Cone cards HERE

This post is to focus on the "green floral card".

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

Today I have used the Flower Cone digital stamp from Little Blue Button Stamps, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make my cards.

I used a sketch for the design (details linked below), along with lots of markers, dies and pretty papers to make this 6 1/8" square card.  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, die cut then coloured with Copic markers.  I coloured the background of the oval image panel with Copic marker E81 so that it coordinated with the lighter shades of the patterned paper, the white looked much to stark.  The different marker blends are listed below, along with the patterned papers and dies.  I matted the image panels with an oval die cut from contrasting cardstock.  I trimmed the background paper to 6" square and matted it with contrasting cardstock, trimming to 1/16" border using a Perfect Layers Ruler.  I took a coordinating panel of patterned paper from the pad, trimmed to 1 3/4" x 6", matting on cardstock and trimming the sides to give a 1/16" border, keeping the top and bottom flush, to match the background panel.  I die cut the "twine" and bows from textured cardstock.  I used liquid adhesive to adhere all the layers in place, adding some thin foam squares under the right-hand-side of the image panel to keep it flat against the base of the card and contrasting strip.  I adhered the card front to a heavy 6" square card base.

Today I have used the Flower Cone digital stamp from Little Blue Button Stamps, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge, to make a pair of birthday cards.

I used a sketch for the design (details linked below), along with lots of markers, dies and pretty papers to make these 6 1/8" square cards.  I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set, die cut then coloured with Copic markers.  The different marker blends are listed below, along with the patterned papers and dies.  I matted the image panels with an oval die cut from contrasting cardstock.  I trimmed the background papers to 6" square and matted it with contrasting cardstock, trimming to 1/16" border using a Perfect Layers Ruler.  I took a coordinating panel of patterned paper from each pad, trimmed to 1 3/4" x 6", matting on cardstock and trimming the sides to give a 1/16" border, keeping the top and bottom flush, to match the background panel.  I die cut the "twine" and bows from textured cardstock.  For the "magenta, B&W floral card", I used the RV66 Copic marker to colour a white twine and bow die cut, I layered it over a black die cut for extra dimension and contrast against the patterned paper.  I used liquid adhesive to adhere all the layers in place, adding some thin foam squares under the right-hand-side of the image panel to keep it flat against the base of the card and contrasting strip.  I adhered the card fronts to heavy 6" square card bases.

here is what I call my "magenta, B&W floral card"

and here is my "green floral card"
I coloured the background of the image panel because the white didn't look "right"

Vintage Christmas with A Bit More Time To Craft

It's time for a new challenge with us on the

As always, the challenge is Anything Goes.
Three to five random winners are drawn and
each get to choose 3 set of papers from the Paper Pick Tab

~~~*~~~*~~~
There is an ADDED BONUS for visiting the
A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge Blog - Challenge 106
post today, as Lozzy is generously giving away a lovely new digital paper set as a big Thank You to Everyone who visits, comments and enters the challenges throughout the year.  This generous freebie is only available for a short time, so don't forget to head on over and download it before it's gone . . .
~~~*~~~*~~~

Today I have used the Vintage Christmas digital paper by Lozzy at A Bit More Time To CraftIt's the 8th set on the Paper Picks tab HERE and it comes with 10 different designs.
I combined the different papers with some pre-coloured digital stamps and some Christmas sentiments, sizing them to make a set of quick and easy 5" x 5" cards.  The digital stamp is from the Toy Stocking digital stamp set from Jan's Digi Stamps, full details and links below.  The sentiments are from the Silhouette Design Store, full details linked below.  I selected a darker coloured section from each of the papers to re-colour the sentiments to match.  I printed the image panels separately on heavy white cardstock, trimmed them to 5" x 10", scored at 5" then burnished the folds with a bone folder to create a set of 5" x 5" top folding cards.

As you can see, I have done a little mix 'n match with the papers,
images and sentiments.

The paper below is the 9th from the set of 10 in the Vintage Christmas set.
I think this one is my favourite.

The paper below is the 1st from the set of 10 in the Vintage Christmas set.

The paper below is the 6th from the set of 10 in the Vintage Christmas set.

The paper below is the 8th from the set of 10 in the Vintage Christmas set.

Here are some more photos with assorted cards together so that you can see how different each paper can look with when combined with other images and sentiments.  Click on the image if you would like to see the detail in full screen.

Allsorts Challenge Blog - Challenge 550 – Inspired By A Song

My song is “Little Christmas Stocking With The Hole In The Toe” and my cards are filled with
Christmas Spirit, just like how Santa “filled the stocking until no more he could pack”.  There
are lots of Christmas songs from It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas to Jingle Bells
that could also be considered too ... so many wonderful voices singing in my mind now.

A Christmas Puppy from the Southern Girls

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are

Krafters Cart

Colour of Love

~~~*~~~*~~~
Today I have used the Rory's Christmas Puppy digital stamp by Colour of Love, one of our generous sponsors this fortnight to make my card.
I printed the image panel on X-Press It blending card, heat set coloured with Copic markers then trimmed to size.  I used a sketch (details below) to design the layers of my card, combining patterned paper, a die cut bow, die cut snowflakes and punched snowflakes with a touch of sparkle.
I tried a new-to-me Copic marker combo
to give Rory some very festive red hair.
~~~*~~~*~~~

I'm having a little trip down memory lane with Colour of Love today too.
Here are some of my favourite cards using Heather's beautiful images.  If you want to learn more about any of them, just click on the photo and it will take you to the original blog post.
Happy Colouring :)

 Daylily Romantique Umbrella      Rory's Wisteria

Steampunk Owl (Tangled Gems)                      Parrot (Tangled Gems)

 Flamingo Sunset (Tangled Gems)

Rory's Just A Little Mer

Note: the Steampunk Owl, Parrot and Flamingo Sunset are all from the
Tangled Gems Collection but unfortunately I can't find them in Heather's new shop.
