It's time for another challenge with us at the

This week we are letting our creative juices flow with
Challenge #154 - Anything Goes

Prize: 3 Digital Images

Today I have used the Tottie Birthday Cupcake digital stamp from Faery Ink, our generous sponsor this week, to make an A5 top folding birthday card.

I printed the image on A5 X-Press It blending cardstock, heat set, then coloured
with Copic markers, adding a touch of Wink Of Stella sparkle to the frosting and flame.

I covered the front of an A5 top folding card base with dark pink cardstock,
then trimmed cardstock layers to coordinate with the patterned paper.

After trimming and matting the image panel, I popped it in place
with a layer of foam over the patterned paper.

Lucky last, I scattered some sequins, as if Tottie was
throwing them as she leapt out of the cupcake.

Of course I have some more photos to share ...
just click on the image if you want to see the detail in full screen

Vintage style ... with us at the Crafty Gals Corner

Challenge #127 - Vintage

Today I have used the beautiful Gabbie Holiday Belle digital stamp from Faery Ink, our generous sponsor this week.

I printed the image on A5 X-Press It blending card and heat set.  I printed another copy of the image on copy paper, covered it with X-Press It Mask It then fussy cut.
I overlaid the mask over the image panel then inked the background with Old Paper Distress Ink.  I heat set the inked panel then coloured with Copic Markers.

The droplets in the background were bleached with water then given some sparkle with a light touch of clear Wink Of Stella glitter brush.  The snow at the bottom of the image was also given a touch of sparkle.

The card base is an A5 top fold, covered with patterned paper.

I matted the image panel with Olive cardstock, then made a Forest panel to offset it, adding a luscious coating of Old Paper Distress Ink to make the colour richer and the same tone as the image panel.

A cluster of poinsettia flowers were adhered in place to finish off this vintage card.

Notes about the Copic markers:
I used a different combo for the rich, dark hair - E57-47-79
I used a different red combo for her dress - R35-37-39
I tried a different green combo for the foliage - BG90-93-96-99  ... athough these greens look lovely and blend well together, this shade of green gets a little "lost" against her hair, so I will need to be more careful next time.

This week we are letting our creative juices flow with
Challenge #101 Anything Goes

Our generous sponsor this week is Faery Ink

Prize: 3 Digital Images

Today I have used the sweet Bella the Candy Fairy digital stamp from Faery Ink

My card is an A5 top fold.

I coloured Bella with Copic markers.

The image panel is layered on foam.
The leafy sprig is on a double layer of foam dots.
I used my micro tip scissors to snip a foam dot in half ... so that it was half thickness, giving the bow just a little bit of dimension above the leafy sprig.
I coloured the foam dots with my Copic markers to match the green of the leafy sprig and the pink of the bow.
The sentiment is a white top layer stacked on 5 green layers.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #83 - Birthdays / Celebrate

It's time for another challenge on the Crafty Gals Corner Blog.
Challenge #83 Birthdays / Celebrate

Today I have used the Gabbie Birthday Fairy digital stamp from Faery Ink,
one of our fabulous sponsors for the challenge this week.

This cute image comes with and without balloons.
Today I have gone without the balloons, adding die cut ones separately.

I coloured Gabbie using Copic markers, using Wink Of Stella Glitter Pens for the cupcake and hair bow.  I used a very delicate shade for the wings, adding sparkle with Clear Wink Of Stella Brush Pen.

What do you think?  Does she need red lipstick?  Do they need to sparkle?

Here is a close-up to show her sparkling wings & cupcake and her shimmering silver pendant.
