Dance like a butterfly

no, you're not seeing things

I made two "dance like a butterfly" easel cards
using the On Pointe digital stamp by Broken Fairy Designs

I linked both cards in the same post, so when it came to entering them in challenges I could only link one, so this short post comes with some more pics.

All the details about these cards can be found HERE.

Today I have used the cute On Pointe digital stamp from Broken Fairy Designs , one of our generous sponsors this week, to make two easel birthday cards.

closed, front view

I placed the Broken Fairy "On Pointe" ballerina image on my Silhouette Cameo cutting mat, along with the My Scrap Chick easel card cut file (details below), sizing and aligning her on the top layer of the card front.
I prepared the sentiment using a combination of fonts (Janda Celebration Script and Bradley Hand) in Adobe Photoshop, saved as a JPEG file, then opened the file on the cutting mat too, sizing it to fit the sentiment panel.
I printed the image and sentiment panels on X-Press It Blending Card with a laser printer and cut them using my Silhouette Cameo.
I cut the card base, accent layers and flourishes using textured cardstock.  I cut extra "blank" sentiment panels so that I could adhere three of them under each sentiment, making a solid, dimensional wedge for the card front to stand against when open.

I coloured the image using Copic markers (details below).

I assembled the card, adhering the layers using Helmar 450 Quick Dry, a liquid adhesive that makes is easy to align layers perfectly.  Next came the flourishes and flowers, also adhered with Helmar 450 Quick Dry.  It is great for dimension embellishments like flowers, as it is like using a hot glue gun without the "hot".

I punched and layered some butterflies to embellish the sentiment panel,
a fun way to celebrate the sentiment.

Here are some more pics
... I confess, I'm thrilled with how these cards turned out and hope that you like them too.

Today I have used the fun "Elfie Selfie" digital stamp by KennyK Stamps, one of our generous sponsors this fortnight.

I placed the image panel on my Silhouette Studio mat and adjusted the film strip cut file to fit perfectly.  I cut the film strip out of black cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.

I coloured the image panels with Copic markers, adding Stickles to the trims on Santa's hat and clothes, then smothered them with "Snow" glitter.

I die cut a bundle of alphas using my Sizzix Big Shot and Kaisercraft Uppercase Alphabet dies, so that I could make a variety of hashtag sentiments from #ELFIESELFIE and #HOHOHO to #SANTA and #SANTASELFIE

The patterned paper panels are from the Kaisercraft Holly Jolly 6 1/2" paper pad, so I made my card bases 6 3/4" square to fit the sheets perfectly.  The size worked perfectly with the 1" alphas I used to make the hashtag sentiments too.

Today I have used the "Total Drama" Retro Girl Drama Queen Postcard digital stamp from KennyK Stamps, one of our generous sponsors this week.

We have several milestone birthdays coming up this year and I thought this image would make some fun bottle tags.

I coloured the images with Copic markers (details below).
I masked the images and borders (with X-Press It Mask It) then coloured the backgrounds with Distress Inks (details below).  The inks are so vibrant

I cut the bottle tag base using my Silhouette Cameo.  I used part of a purchased file and welded it to a rectangle to suit the image dimensions.

... I have to confess that I used a delicious bottle of red wine vinegar for the photo shoot.
