The fancy folds give fabulous dimension and fold flat for mailing.
Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start...
You may have noticed that I love fancy folds, so I surfed the internet to learn about the swing easel fold. I sized the image panel to be a comfortable size to colour then sized the layers to suit. I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, heat set then coloured with Copic markers.
I added a touch of sparkle to the wings and butterflies using a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
I cut the cardstock and patterned paper panels, then cut and scored the base before adhering everything together. I finished it off with a cluster of flowers to match the patterned paper and some foliage punched out of black card stock.
Here are some more pics of this fun fancy fold.
Just click on the image if you want to see them in more detail.

DeleteOh my goodness your colouring skills are incredible, especially the hair, so much detail and texture. I've never made a card like this, the folding design is so clever and your paper and flowers go so beautifully with the sweet image. So glad you joined us at TIME OUT!
ReplyDeleteThank You Shona :)
DeleteThe hair has six colours, I usually go light to dark then back to light again. The swing easel fold is surprisingly easy to do, just a couple of partial cuts and strategic scoring and you're done. I hope you give it a try.
