I sized the image panel to 4" high x 2" wide, added a sentiment to the label (details below), printed on X-Press It blending card, heat set then coloured with Copic markers (details below). I trimmed the image panel down to size, matted with cardstock then trimmed to a 1/8" border using a Perfect Layers Ruler. I created the sentiment panel using the Falcon Font (details linked below), printed on smooth white cardstock, trimmed to 5 3/4" wide x 2 3/4" high, matted with cardstock then trimmed to a 1/8" border using a Perfect Layers Ruler. I made a top folding base for the card 7 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" high and used liquid adhesive to secure all the layers in place, with foam squares popping the matted image panel under the top and bottom edges.
I used a new-to-me technique called "underpaint" to create an even deeper violet for the darkest portions on the grapes. It seemed bizarre adding a dark green before any of the violets but I am thrilled with the result and I love learning about colours. What do you think?
. . . and one last pic . . .
