Southern Girls - Challenge #156 - Use A Die Cut with Team Lou

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge

Our awesome sponsors for this challenge are ...

Today I have used the fun "Elfie Selfie" digital stamp by KennyK Stamps, one of our generous sponsors this fortnight.

I placed the image panel on my Silhouette Studio mat and adjusted the film strip cut file to fit perfectly.  I cut the film strip out of black cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.

I coloured the image panels with Copic markers, adding Stickles to the trims on Santa's hat and clothes, then smothered them with "Snow" glitter.

I die cut a bundle of alphas using my Sizzix Big Shot and Kaisercraft Uppercase Alphabet dies, so that I could make a variety of hashtag sentiments from #ELFIESELFIE and #HOHOHO to #SANTA and #SANTASELFIE

The patterned paper panels are from the Kaisercraft Holly Jolly 6 1/2" paper pad, so I made my card bases 6 3/4" square to fit the sheets perfectly.  The size worked perfectly with the 1" alphas I used to make the hashtag sentiments too.

  3. What perfectly witty and wonderful cards you've created here! I love the clean look of them, yet they are still full of warmth and holiday cheer. The hashtag and selfie references are so timely and it was a clever idea to combine them with an iconic santa scene! Well done and thanks for helping me to remember not to procrastinate my Christmas cards this year! Thank you also for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
