Today I have used the Parrot Tangled Gems digital stamp from Lacy Sunshine,
one of our generous sponsors this week, to make an A5 top folding birthday card.

I printed the image on A5 X-Press It blending card, heat set then coloured with Copic markers.  I decided that this was going to be a birthday card for my brother and wanted to remind him of "home" so I gathered together some of my more recent galah photos and used them to guide my colouring.

Once coloured, I trimmed the image panel slightly, matted with black cardstock and layered on the matted card base with an accent strip that went below the image panel and the sentiment panel above it.  The sentiment is a die cut that I adhered to a cardstock strip, matted then added foam  squares for extra dimension.

It is a bit hard to see, but the sentiment strip is sitting high above the image panel and you can see parts of the coloured image when you peek under it.

I matted inside the card and added another die cut sentiment.

... this card is now flying over to the USA to remind my brother of home
