Today I have used the Steampunk Turtle digital stamp from Rick St. Dennis, one of our generous sponsors this week, to make a masculine birthday card.

I started with my Silhouette Cameo design mat, a cog/gear cut file and a hinge cut file.  I used the cut file to make a 6x6" frame with a double layer for contrast.  I sized the image to fit perfectly inside then printed it on vanilla textured cardstock.  I thought it would be fun to try my Copic markers with texture.  I heat set the image panel and coloured with Copic markers, adding white gel pen to the "white" of the eye and the gauge on the motor.  This was my first time using YG91-93-95 and I'm really pleased with how it looks on the shell with a touch of E31 & E35.

I used a Copic marker (YR23) to colour silver brads,  making them match the metal elements of the image.  I adhered the hinge layers together, secured the brads then adhered the hinges over the top fold of the card.

I used the "negative" bits from the cog/gear layers
to make a sentiment panel inside the card,
then added a triple layered sentiment.

Here are some more pics.
