No stamps from me today.

I have used lots of gorgeous silver sparkling deco tape from X-Press It to make the background.  The tapes are 3mm, 6mm and 12mm wide and I spaced each strip 2mm apart.  I die cut the "happy" five times and layered the black over four white ones for dimension.  The birthday die comes with a backing layer and the white made the black word pop even more against the silver strips.

Although the card is quite CAS (Clean And Simple), I layered the "happy" several times for dimension, which I think works well with the black pearls.

I'm also sharing a second card this week.

I have used the BIG Bold Alphabet Die Set by Altenew to make the sentiment the focus of my card.  This fabulous alphabet die set is available through the Krafters Cart, one of our generous sponsors this fortnight ... you never know, you could be the lucky challenge winner and put your prize towards getting a set for yourself.  I also used the Wink Of Stella Brush Glitter Marker and Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue, which are available from the Krafters Cart ... more goodies to add to your shopping list.

My card is pretty large ... I scored a sheet of heavy white cardstock to make this A5 landscape card for my sister.  I burnished the fold (it's pretty heavy weight cardstock and it resisted) then started adding my layers.  First came the burlap ribbon followed by the lovely white organza lace, adhering them in place with Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue.  I trimmed the ends off two white pearl flourishes (when I say ends, I actually mean the start) and secured them in place over the burlap/lace panel, leaving plenty of room for the sentiment.  I die cut three sets of the alphas to make my "sister" sentiment, adhering them together to give extra dimension.  I adhered the alphas in place with Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue then gave them a delicate sparkle with my clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Marker.  Lucky last came the flowers.  I trimmed off the wire and adhered the paper blooms in place using liquid adhesive (Helmar 450 Quick Dry, it's like using a hot glue gun without the "HOT").  I added a touch of sparkle to the flowers with the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Marker too.
I have to confess that I'm thrilled with how the burlap and lace contrast against the smooth white cardstock, pearls and sparkling alphas.

Today I have used the Gina Frankenstein Bride digital stamp from MoonFlower DigiStamps, our generous sponsor this week.  The theme for our challenge is fancy folds, so I thought I would add an extra surprise to Halloween with some twist pop cards.

I opened the cut file for the Twist Pop Boo Card cut file on my Silhouette Cameo design mat and enlarged the pieces, making the base length 11 3/4" (as large as I could to just fit on the cutting mat).  I added a couple of matting layers to the front then took the smallest top layer to add the Gina Frankenstein Bride digital stamp, sizing her to fit neatly and adding some bats and a black cat.  I printed the image panel on X-Press It blending card then cut with the Cameo.  I printed the banner sentiment and Halloween patterned paper on textured cardstock and cut it with my Cameo.  I cut all the other card layers and twist-pop mechanisms from textured cardstock.  (note: I added another layer to the sentiment banner so that it had more contrast against the patterned paper.)  The cut file comes with some spooky elements to decorate the front of the card too, so I cut them to embellish the second card.

I heat set the image then coloured with Copic markers (details below).
I burnished all the folds of the card base, mechanism and boo strip then assembled the card.  (Lori's video tutorial is HERE).  I punched out some little black flowers, die cut some leafy flourishes and finished off the card with some sparkling black bling and tiny black star confetti.
What do you think?

Here are the two closed cards together

They both have a big BOO waiting inside,
along with some pretty patterned paper.

One last look of these Halloween cuties ...

a "FABULOUS" birthday for our Anything Goes challenge with Team Lou at the Southern Girls

The image is the Birthday Girl digital stamp from Lia Stampz, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge.  No, you're not seeing things, you may remember me making a card a while ago with the sentiment "you don't look a day over FABULOUS" and this same image.  This time I have gone "opposite" with the glitter panels (dark pink to the left, light pink to the right).  It also has darker shading to the hair and cake, along with using a bundle of Cool Grey Copic markers to colour her dress and accessories, instead of the BV's used last time.

I printed the image on A5 X-Press It blending card, zapped it with my heat gun then coloured with Copic markers.  I used a white gel pen to give the pearls in her necklace some extra dimension and an ultra white finish ... it also helps cover where my markers "invaded" their pearly space.
The sentiment is a combination of fonts (Bradley Hand ITC and LW Sweetie Pie).
I made an 8" square top folding card base by scoring the top of the back panel and adhered it to the front panel.  The base is matted with textured cardstock then layered with luscious glitter cardstock.  I matted the image panel and sentiment panel with the same textured black cardstock, keeping a perfect 1/8" border by using a Perfect Layers ruler.  It is usually a challenge to keep layers securely in place when using glittered cardstock but it's not a problem with my go-to glue, Helmar 450 Quick Dry.  It's like using a hot glue gun without the "hot".  I finished off the card by die cutting a bow, using the handle of a fine brush to give a smooth curve and dimension to the loops and tails.

Here are the cards together, the old on the right, the new on the left,
maybe this year the red-heads will get these sparkling birthday wishes.

Today I have used The Lady digital stamp from The Paper Shelter, our generous sponsor this week, to make some flower-filled cards.  This digital stamp set comes with a traditional black & white digital stamp, along with a pre-coloured image and matching patterned paper.  Unfortunately I'm not able to colour at the moment, so it was a real bonus to be able to use the pre-coloured image and still create some cards.

I started by planning my card design on my Silhouette Studio design mat.  I wanted to make 5" x 7" top folding cards, so I sized the lattice panel cut file to 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" then sized the image to fit inside.  I added some digital paper to the background of two of the panels, having the PNG format of the image meant that it layered perfectly.  I printed the image panels then cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  I also cut some white lattice panels to mat the inside of each card.  This lovely lady image has lots of roses decorating her hair, hat and dress, so of course I had to add even more pretty pink roses to my cards, along with lots of luscious green foliage.   I used three different leaf cut files and cut several sets of each so that I could mix and match different elements from each one around my rose clusters.
