This post is to share about my Easter tags
using the Kitty Play digital stamp from LeAnn's World 101.

You can read all about the new challenge, the generous sponsors and the details about my four projects on my first post HERE or by clicking on the photo below.  My projects include a layered card and a CAS card using the Poppies digital stamp from SheepSki Designs and a pair of Easter tags using the Kitty Play digital stamp from LeAnn's World 101.

~~~*~~~*~~~
I started my tags by opening the Kitty Play digital stamp from LeAnn's World 101 in Silhouette Studio.  The cute little girl reminded of an Easter Bunny dress-up, so I decided to make Easter tags.  I sized the image to 3" high by 2" wide, snipping the little kitty off the side.  I placed the image on an "egg" shape and added a "ribbon hole".  I created the Easter sentiment (font details below) and added it to the egg shaped tag.  I printed the panel on X-Press It blending card, cut with my Silhouette Cameo, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  The tags are 4" high x 3" wide.  The tags were finished off by threading some pretty knotted ribbon through the end.  I think this is the first time I have ever started preparing for Easter so early.
My favourite is "digi" because it's so easy to re-size the image to suit your project, cropping is just a click of the
mouse, just like I have cropped the playful kitten from this image and added a digital sentiment.
Also, I can print multiple perfect copies without getting inky fingers
Today I have used the Poppies digital stamp from SheepSki Designs, one of our generous sponsors for this challenge to make two cards.   You can read all about the new challenge, the generous sponsors and the details about my layered card on my first post HERE or by clicking on the photo below.
~~~*~~~*~~~

I started my card by opening the digital image in Silhouette Studio.  I cropped the large area of "white space" from the image and sized the panel to 3 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" high.  I created a sentiment (font details below) and added it to the image panel to created a card front.  I printed the panel on X-Press It blending card, trimmed to size, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I created a 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" card base using heavy smooth white cardstock.  (No, I don't know why it ended up such an odd size, I usually make 5" x 7", 6" square or A5 sized cards, perhaps I was going to mat the panel instead of it being so CAS ... maybe I will do that next time.)

... and one last pic of both cards together, the CAS card
looks tiny but it's only 1/4" smaller than the layered one,
the CAS card 6 3/4" x 4 3/4", the layered is  7" x 5"

Today I have four projects to share.  A layered card and a CAS card using the Poppies digital stamp from SheepSki Designs and a pair of Easter tags using the Kitty Play digital stamp from LeAnn's World 101.

~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~
Here's a little more about the cards using the Poppies digital stamp from SheepSki Designs.  I started my cards by opening the digital image in Silhouette Studio.  I cropped the large area of "white space" from the image and sized the panel to 3 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" high.
For the layered card, I printed the image on X-Press It blending card, trimmed to size, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I printed the digital sentiment (details below) and trimmed to 7" wide x 1" high.  I matted the image and sentiment panels on black cardstock and trimmed to 1/8" with a Perfect Layers Ruler.  I created a 7" x 5" top folding card base from red cardstock, matted the bottom with a 2 1/2" strip of dark green cardstock, adhered the matted sentiment panel to the top of the green panel then adhered the matted image panel in place.
For the CAS card, I created a sentiment (font details below) and added it to the image panel to created a card front.  I printed the panel on X-Press It blending card, heat set and coloured with Copic markers.  I created a 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" card base using heavy smooth white cardstock.  (No, I don't know why it ended up such an odd size, I usually make 5" x 7", 6" square or A5 sized cards, perhaps I was going to mat the panel instead of it being so CAS ... maybe I will do that next time.)
... and of course, I have some more photos to share ...
Fancy Folds For A Fun Birthday
It's time for a new challenge with us on the
As always, the challenge is Anything Goes.
Three to five random winners are drawn and
each get to choose 3 set of papers from the Paper Pick Tab
~~~*~~~*~~~

Today I have used the Flower Fun digital paper by Lozzy at A Bit More Time To Craft
to make some fun birthday cards.

These fancy fold interactive cards are called "wiper cards", they are flat in the envelope and as they open they become dimensional and, as an extra surprise, two balloons pop up.

I started the cards in Silhouette Studio and started with the gorgeous Flower Fun digital paper.  I cannot deny it, I adore the colours and designs in this FUN set.  I opened a cut file (details & link below) and sized the digital paper to mat the front of the card.  I "picked" the darkest and lightest purple shades from the design and used them to colour the contrasting matting panels and balloons.  As an extra surprise, I added a "1" and "2" to the balloons, so that when they popped up, they would become "12" for the birthday girl.  I printed the panels on textured cardstock, cut all the elements and assembled the card, securing all the joins and layers with liquid adhesive.

Here is the front view of the card,
it looks like a traditional square card ...

Here is the fully open front view,
you can see my "1" and "2"
they make a cute balloon "12" for the birthday girl.

 Here is the back view, I made a sentiment panel and matted it to match the front
... I might have to add some more balloons!

... and one lucky last photo of the two cards together ...

Today and Always

Earlier to day I shared THIS blog post and set of cards

for the latest

challenge on the Southern Girls Challenge Blog

FULL details can be found HERE

~~~*~~~*~~~
This post is to focus on my "today and always" card.
My card uses the Eucalyptus Silhouette digital stamp
from the Eucalyptus digital stamp set by Beccy's Place,
one of our generous sponsors this fortnight.
~~~*~~~*~~~

Starting with my trusty design mat in Silhouette Studio, I opened the beautiful Eucalyptus Silhouette digital stamp from the Eucalyptus Digital Stamp Set by Beccy's Place, sized the image to fit on a 5" x 7" card front, added a digital sentiment (details below) then printed on smooth white cardstock, heat set and trimmed to size.  I used a variety of Distress Inks and blending brushes to create a vibrant sunrise
... or is it a sunset?

I heat set the inked panel and adhered it to a card 5" x 7" top folding card base.

The sentiment was created using two different fonts,
details and links are listed in the ingredients below.
... I always think of my Grandma when I use this sentiment ...
she used to add a special message like
"S.W.A.L.K." (meaning Sealed With A Loving Kiss)
or
"with love, today and always"
to cards and envelopes ... such precious memories
