Sunrise or Sunset . . .

. . . either way, I hope it's a GOOD DAY!

It's time for another challenge with us at the Southern Girls.

This fortnight Team Lou have created projects to inspire you for the new challenge

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are:

Today I have used the Eucalyptus Silhouette digital stamp
from the Eucalyptus digital stamp set by Beccy's Place,
one of our generous sponsors this fortnight, to make a set of cards.

I've been looking for ideas to send paper "hugs" during these troubling Covid-19 times and it was wonderful to work with this beautiful Eucalyptus Silhouette.  I sized the image to fit on a 5" x 7" card front, added digital sentiments (details below) then printed on white cardstock (I tried two different brands, details below), heat set then started an exciting blending adventure.  I have recently added some blending brushes to my crafty stash (no, I've not been out shopping in "real" stores for months now but have to confess that I am enjoying the pleasures of online ordering and home delivery) and gave them their very first workout.  I trimmed the image panels down to size and used a variety of Distress Inks to create vibrant sunrises ... or are they sunsets?  I ran out of time to try this sunrise technique with my Copic markers, so in the meantime I highly recommend you check out Beccy's sunset tutorial post HERE

I heat set the inked panels and adhered them to card bases.

The distress inks are so vibrant and I am thrilled with how they turned out.

The sentiment on the left was created using two different fonts,
the sentiment on the right was a purchased design,
details and links are listed in the ingredients

I mentioned earlier that I tried two different cardstock brands.  The ink blended beautifully on both but I found that the digital stamp looked quite "shiny" on the X-Press It blending card and it didn't seem to "soak" in as much either.

Of course, I have to share some more photos,
I hope they make you feel as happy as they make me :)
