Ulysses Flutter - 2

For my second card today, I combined the Ulysses pre-coloured digital stamp from the Butterfly House digital stamp set from the Beccy's Place Store with the Life Wonderful digital sentiment Shabby Chic Roses digital stamp set, also from the Beccy's Place store.  Unfortunately this digital stamp set now discontinued but you can read more about it and see creations shared using the stamps and sentiments HERE on the Beccy’s Place Blog.

I sized the butterfly to 2" high (nearly 2 1/2" wide) and rotated it slightly to fit on a 4" square panel.  I added the sentiment then printed the image panel on textured white cardstock.  I trimmed the image panel, matted with black cardstock, trimmed to a 1/16" border, matted with Mermaid cardstock, then trimmed to a 3/16" border.

I created the 1/16" border by putting the 1/16" edge of the
Perfect Layers Ruler against the edge of the image panel.

adhered the matted image panel to a 5 1/2" square panel of white textured cardstock then adhered the multi matted image panel on to a 1/2" square top folding card base made from 300gsm smooth white cardstock.

The sentiment is delightful and such a beautiful combination of fonts,
I think it looks so elegant against the delicate butterfly wings.

I have made four cards the same-but-different using this Ulysses Butterfly image.

~~~
This post is about my second card, it is matted with Mermaid cardstock,
a shade that matches the darker accents in the butterfly wings.
~~~
My first card was matted with Capri cardstock,
a shade that matches the light accents in the butterfly wings,
both matting layers look lovely with the butterfly.
You can read all about my first card HERE.

~~~
My fourth card is matted with the same Mermaid cardstock and has the
added bonus of Wink of Stella sparkle and fluttering fussy cut dimension.
You can read all about my fourth card HERE.
  1. Wow, what a difference the slightly darker cardstock makes! It's always amazing how just a little change can make such a big impact on a design. Lovely Tracy!
    Cheers,
