Challenge #92 - Punches / Die Cuts

   

Today I have used the elegant
Ballerina 2 digital stamp by Morgan Fitzsimons from Morgan's ArtWorld,
our generous challenge sponsor this week.

The archway is Gothic Windows 4, a free cut file from Monica's Creative Room.  The file comes with the ornate frame, so I used it to make some layers for a fancy shaped card using my Silhouette Cameo.  I made a solid layer to go behind the ornate frame and a solid layer to make the card base.  Normally when I layer panels together to make a top folding card, I score the back panel 3/4" down from the top and adhere it in place but this time I scored at the bottom of the curve of the arch.  It makes for a smaller area to write inside but it makes the card stand more securely.

For the foliage, I gathered together a bundle of cut files (details below) and cut a set in their original size and a set 10% smaller, so that I had plenty of pieces to cut and layer together.  I used Copic markers to shade some of the leafy layers so that they matched the patterned paper panel.

I coloured the beautiful ballerina with Copic markers, details below.
