B is for ... Bells, Bows, Bendi and Bling

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt from Day 2 is "B"
My Bendi cards are filled with Bells, Bows and Bling Berries.
I have been "printer challenged" and quite frustrated on the digital stamp front the last couple of weeks, so once Beccy got to the Day 4 prompt and the letter "D", I thought it was time to use some die cuts and get started without any colouring.

I used a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store (details & link below), made a few changes (details below) and cut the elements to make the card with my Cameo.  Instead of using the Cameo cut holly berries, I added rhinestones and instead of the printed sentiment, I used die cuts.
These fancy fold cards are 6 1/8" x 4 3/4" when flat for mailing.

Here you can see the card flat, when assembled and from the back.

These cards are fold flat for mailing and have the two front panels that
tuck into slots for fabulous dimension when the cards are up on display.

A2 Flexi Card Christmas Bell by Lori Whitlock
Note: I cut the base of the card in reverse, as I use textured cardstock and wanted to have the same finish visible as much as possible.  Also, the matting panel for the background had the "tuck-in" slot slightly offset, so I moved it to the right before cutting (again), so that it had an even border.  I also made a "reversed" copy of the panel to mat the back of the card and make it a bit more sturdy.  Instead of using the print & cut sentiment panel, I tried some different die cut combinations to make my own "Merry Christmas".
Sizzix Big Shot
assorted dies for the sentiment
Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive - to adhere the layers
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive - to adhere the
bells, bows, candy canes, holly and sentiment die cuts

  1. These are really fabulous bendi cards Tracy, you've done a fabulous job putting them together. Awesome colour scheme, the grey looks wonderful with the festive red, green and white die cuts. Love the bling berries you added, they give a fantastic sparkle to your cards. Well done!
    Cheers,
