E is for Extra thick Emu Envelope

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt for Day 5 is "E"
E is for Extra thick Emu Envelope for Exciting Emu card

This Exciting Extra thick Emu Envelope is to hold the Extremely dimensional Emu card that I shared HERE.  I started with a cut file for a thick envelope (details below) in Silhouette Studio.  The base for this envelope is huge, the 11.87" panel just fitted within the cutting borders of my Cameo mat.  I cut the base from crimson cardstock to match the poinsettias on the card.  I added an emu image from the Emu Parade digital stamp set and a sentiment from the Aussie Wreath digital stamp set, both are from Beccy's Place to the liner of the envelope to add a special surprise when it's opened.  I printed the image on cardstock but because it wasn't Copic marker friendly, I limited my Copic colouring to the beak, using Wink Of Stella Glitter Pens to colour the star and lights, then add a glow around them.

Here is the card with the envelope

The closed envelope is 7 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" high x 1/4" deep.
The dimensional poinsettias have plenty of space inside
and won't be crushed when the envelope is closed.

The emu and greeting inside the liner is a nice surprise

The emu and poinsettias should be an even bigger surprise

Sending Christmas Greetings to you all from Down Under . . .
