L is for Lots of Lovely Layers

It's that time of year again . . .
we all need to get our Christmas cards sorted and
what better way to do it than playing along with the
at

The prompt for Day 14 is "L"
L is for Lots of Lovely Layers

Today I would like to introduce you to Merle, the giraffe sending gorgeous Christmas greetings.  Merle is from a the digital stamp set from Beccy's Place, the sentiment is also from the same set (yes, it's filled with fun).  I sized the image and sentiment in Silhouette Studio, printed on X-Press It blending card, heat set, coloured with Copic markers then trimmed to size.  I matted the image and sentiment panels, made an A5 top folding card base then adhered the layers together to complete the card.  I popped some thin foam squares under the top and bottom of the image panel so that it sat evenly over the sentiment panel and secured to the front of the card then finished it off with a festive die cut bow.  There are lots of layers on my card, even the bow is layered.

The sentiment is fun too and I aligned it with the ornament
dangling from Merle's tail to add an extra touch of fun.

  2. Your card is fabulous Tracy... there are definitely lots of lovely layers! I like the placement of the sentiment, great idea to have it adjacent to Merle's decorated tail! The red bow is a nice touch and works perfectly with the red mats you added between each layer. Love it!
    Cheers,
