Beccy's Place Day 14 - L is for . . . Lots of Loopy Layers

I'm playing along with the

Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge

~~~*~~~*~~~
(Beccy's post with "L" inspiration words and
stunning candle Light card to inspire are HERE)
My "L" project is Lots of Loopy Layers.
While making our 2022 Christmas cards, I'm also trying to prepare some Christmas craft activities for kids in our neighbourhood too.  Today I'm preparing samples and kits for making Loopy Layered Christmas Trees (inspired by THIS tutorial I found in cyberland).
I have used heavy blue cardstock as the base / background for the Christmas Trees.
(I used Letter size but A4 or larger would be fine)
I cut 1" x 2" strips of brown cardstock to make the tree trunks, one per tree.
I cut 1" x  5 1/2" strips of green cardstock to make the body of the trees, 15 per tree.
(I cut a Letter sized sheet of green cardstock in half, then cut 1" strips from each
piece, leaving only two thin 1/2" strips left over that can be used in another project.)
I used my XL star punch to cut stars from the yellow cardstock, 1 per tree.
My trusty old star squeeze punch and yellow cardstock is put
aside too, as little hands love using squeeze punches.
Here's how they're made:
Take the green strips, loop over and glue the
ends together to make the loops for the tree.
Glue the brown strip to the bottom middle of the blue cardstock sheet.
Glue a green loop above the brown trunk, overlapping the top slightly.
Glue two green loops to both sides of the first loop, making a straight line.
Glue four loops above the first row, overlapping the top slightly.
Glue three loops above the second row, overlapping the top slightly.
Glue two loops above the third row, overlapping the top slightly.
Glue the Lucky Last Loop above the fourth row, overlapping the top slightly, making the top of the Christmas Tree.
Glue the star to the top of the tree.
Now it's time to start decorating.  Glitter glue is fun but sometimes small hands don't like to wait for things to dry, so adhesive gems make a quick and easy alternative that have lots of sparkle too.  Adhere gems to the loops of the Christmas Tree and it's finished.
An easel can be glued to the back of the finished Christmas Tree panel so that it can become part of the annual family Christmas celebrations or used as a super-sized special Christmas card.
