I'm playing along with the
Tenth Annual
Month of Holiday Cards Challenge
~~~*~~~*~~~
(Beccy's post with "N" inspiration words and delightful no-line
colouring candy cane bouquet card to inspire are HERE).
My "N" project is Naughty and Nice.
No colouring by me today ... instead I have used a pre-coloured image by Beccy and LOTS of rhinestones ... I am now suffering a severe case of "bling fingers"!
My card uses the pre-coloured Grumpy Goose image from the
Grumpy Goose digital stamp set from the
Beccy's Place Store and the “Naughty or Nice?” sentiment from the same digital stamp set. I added some ground/shadow under his feet with Copic markers. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a fancy lattice frame for my Grumpy Goose and added sparkling rhinestones to add some extra Christmas cheer. I matted the sentiment panel and popped in place with adhesive foam squares.
I originally planned this card to be a 5" x 7" side fold but liked the cards I made for
Day - 8 - G so much, that I added a flat-folding-easel to the back of the card so that it stands up like a top folding card. I will make a small sentiment panel to fit above
the easel on the back of the card.
... as you may have noticed already,
I liked this card so much that I had to make two ...
For everyone who thinks they might be on the Naughty List, I will send a message to Santa and remind him that although there may be a LITTLE naughty to be found in everyone, there sure is a LOT of nice too!
Merry Christmas
***~ FUN FACT ~***
Geese have palmate feet.
I confess that I HAD to check what their feet were called, the science geek in me NEEDED to know the correct term. Palmate is the most common type of webbed foot. Palmate is when the three front facing toes are joined by webbing and the small, raised back toe (the hallux) is separate. The foot is triangular in shape and is found in many aquatic birds including ducks, gulls, terns, swans and geese.
... I bet you will sleep easier tonight knowing this ... he he he :)
Love your card Tracy! Although the case of bling fingers sounds dreadful, and I do hope it passes quickly, the result was worth it ;). The lattice background is awesome and the little rhinestones definitely elevate it. I also like the way you've matted and postioned the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info about the palmate feet Tracy, I had no idea that webbed feet could be categorised. Very interesting.
Cheers,
Beccy
