Day 2 - B is for a Bell with a Beautiful Blue Bow

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

Beccy's inspiration is a Beautiful Bargello card HERE

My B is for a Bell with a Beautiful Blue Bow.

My card started in Silhouette Studio with a Thanksgiving Side Step Rocker card cut file (details below).  I modified the design to include the delightful Silver Bell pre-coloured digital stamp from the Silver Bell digital stamp set, a now retired set from Beccy’s Place.  I sized the image to fit neatly in the front panel and the sentiment to fit on a made-by me back panel, printed them on textured cardstock and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  It was a bit fiddly to form the fancy folds but once they were burnished with a bone folder, the card stood up and rocked smoothly.
I adhered the layers in place and it looks ever-so-pretty.

Confession time ...
I started adhering the image panel to the BACK of the card and the glue left some dreadful marks.  Luckily it gave me the opportunity to "embellish", so I created a sentiment panel to cover it.  I used one of my go-to favourite digital sentiments, "Merry Christmas Happy New Year" from the Emu Parade stamp set, also retired from Beccy’s Place.  Now my "B" card is complete, ready to be written in and posted, hopefully before the end of the month, it would be nice to have it arrive before Christmas.

  1. Wow, what a beauty! I really like the added step in the fold Tracy, the extra layer looks really cool. Great choice of die for the image panel too. I'm glad to see your happy accident with the sentiment turned out so well!
    Cheers,
