Day 20 - R is for Red

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

My "R" is for Red,
a pair of Rich Red Hot Cocoa Mug Gift Card Holders.

My gift card holders started as a cut file (details below) in Silhouette Studio.  I didn't change the size, as it is designed to hold a standard gift card, 3 3/8" wide by 2 1/8" high.  Once the pieces were cut, there were lots of fiddly bits to layer and glue together.  The end result is a pair of Rich Red Hot Cocoa Mug Gift Card Holders.  When I inserted the gift cards, it felt a bit flimsy, so I created a sentiment panel to go on the back.  I sized the Sweet Christmas and Sweet Wishes digital sentiments from the Candy Canes digital stamp set from Beccy's Place. and added them to the sentiment panels.  I printed then cut the sentiment panels, adhered them to the back of the gift card holders, giving me two same-but-different sweet Rich Red Hot Cocoa Mug Gift Card Holders.

  1. Oh, I love these Tracy!! What a fun and clever way to give a gift card. The little details are fabulous and I like your idea of adding the sentiment panel to the back for a little more strength. Thanks very much for sharing the link to the cut file too!
    Cheers,
