Day 4 - D is for Dandy Double Lever Card

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

Beccy's inspiration is a cute cardinal card using a Digital Stamp HERE

My D is a Dandy Double Lever Card.

I opened the Circle Double Lever Card cut file in Silhouette Studio and sized the Santa digital stamp from the Cozy Christmas digital stamp set from Beccy’s Place to fit inside the first circle.  After scrolling and scrolling and scrolling through my fonts, I finally decided to use the Gingerbread Cake Roman Font to create my HO HO HO sentiment circles, stretching them to fit nicely in each circle.  I printed the image-sentiment circles, then cut the circles and card panels with my Silhouette Cameo.  I coloured the image panels with Copic Markers.

Next came the card assembly and I confess, I had to follow the video, as it was my first time making a double lever card.  The little hinge linking the circle panels at the back was a real challenge that could never get easier with practice.  The image-sentiment circles were adhered to the card panels and my Dandy Double Lever card was Done.

check out these fancy folds and dimension

and they fold flat for mailing too

the fun thing about this fancy fold is that there is something to look at from all angles

Here is the back view, looks like I might need to do some more colouring.

Lucky last photos, because Santa and these HO HO HO's make me feel so festive
. . . hope your day is filled with reasons to smile :)

  1. Wow, that's an amazing card Tracy, it looks awesome when open for display! I love the cardstock you used... brown is one of my favourite colours and it looks great with the red and white!
    Cheers,
