Day 23 - B & W + 1

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

Black & White + one colour

Beccy's inspiration is a beautiful black, white & gold card HERE

My "B & W + 1" is black, white and yellow,
a wooden star ornament coloured with Copic markers.

I used Silhouette Studio to design my card, along with the inspiration shared by Beccy when she launched the delightful Country Christmas digital stamp set HERE and with the samples in the store HERE.  I sized the Christmas Stars 1 digital stamp and Joy To The World digital sentiment from the Country Christmas digital stamp set from Beccy’s Place to fit nicely on a 4" square panel.  I placed the ornament so that the hook was looped through an "O" in the sentiment.  The image panel was printed, trimmed to size then coloured with Copic markers (details below).  I thought I had printed the image on X-Press It blending card but I must have used "ordinary" cardstock, as it was so thirsty, drinking up the markers without much blending.  When I added more colour, it tended to bleed, so I was lucky to mostly keep within the lines and have a "0" colourless blender on hand.  I matted the image panel with black cardstock then adhered the matted panel to a 5 1/2" square card.
