Day 23 - B & W + 1 . . . again

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.

Day 23 - B & W + 1

Black & White + one colour

Beccy's inspiration is a beautiful black, white & gold card HERE

My "B & W + 1" is black, white and yellow,

another wooden star ornament card coloured with Copic markers.

My first wooden star ornament card for Day 23 was shared HERE

I used Silhouette Studio to design my card, along with the inspiration shared by Beccy when she launched the delightful Country Christmas digital stamp set HERE and with the samples in the store HERE.  I sized the Christmas Stars 1 & Christmas Stars 3 digital stamps and the Joy To The World digital sentiment from the Country Christmas digital stamp set from Beccy’s Place to fit nicely on a 4" square panel.  I placed the ornaments so that the hooks were looped through letters of the sentiment.  The image panel was printed, trimmed to size then coloured with Copic markers (details below).  I thought I had printed the image on X-Press It blending card but I must have used "ordinary" cardstock, as it was so thirsty, drinking up the markers without much blending.

When I added more colour, it tended to bleed, so I was lucky to mostly

keep within the lines and have a "0" colourless blender on hand.  

I matted the image panel with black cardstock, trimmed to a 1/16"

border then adhered the matted panel to a 5 1/2" square card.
