Day 8 - Change Colours

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

Beccy's inspiration is four monochromatic Christmas Tree cards,
all the same grey shades but all coloured differently can be found HERE

My Changing Colours are cinnamon brown versus ash grey.
I used the same Christmas Tree and matted it with different
colours, giving the image a completely different look.

I opened the Bare Tree Decorated pre-coloured digital stamp from the
Oh Divine Night digital stamp set from Beccy’s Place in Silhouette Studio and sized it to fit on a slimline card.  I added the Little Planter pre-coloured digital stamp from the A Little Something digital stamp set, also from Beccy's Place and lined it up with the tree trunk.  I added the Merry Little Christmas digital sentiment from the Christmas Blooms digital stamp set, also from Beccy’s Place.  Once I was happy with the size and placement, I printed two panels on smooth white cardstock then trimmed to size.  I matted one panel with cinnamon brown cardstock, the other with ash grey cardstock.
Same image, same layout, different colour matting layers, completely different look.

I initially made these cards with masculine recipients in mind but
I find these non-traditional colours quite appealing for one and all.

  1. Great job Tracy... I knew this prompt would be right up your alley! Love your versions of the same card. It really is amazing how one small change can make such a difference to the design, especially when it comes to colour.
    Cheers,
