Day 26 - W is for White-on-White

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

Beccy's inspiration is a delightful white-on-white card HERE

My "W" is for White-on-White too,
lots of white layers, lots of white dimension.

Inspired by the white-on-white card Beccy shared as inspiration for “Day 26 - W”, I decided to try a new-to-me Christmas card cut file and make it all white-on-white too.

I opened the Merry Little Christmas Card cut file (details & links below, available from two stores) in Silhouette Studio and enlarged the card.  One of my favourite sizes is 5” x 7” and this card was A2, which is a much smaller 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.  The best I could do was to lock the aspect of the grouped elements of the card and enlarge it to be 6 ¾” wide x 5” tall, almost 5" x 7" and it will fit nicely in a 5” x 7” envelope.  I changed the sentiment for this card and used one of my favourites from Beccy’s Place, the Merry Little Christmas digital sentiment from the Christmas Blooms digital stamp set.  I printed the sentiment panels then cut all the pieces from white textured cardstock.  I used a paint brush handle to curl the poinsettia petals and leaves, along with the delicate leaf strips.  I used assorted liquid adhesives to assembled the layers.  I used 300gsm smooth white cardstock to make card bases then adhered the assembled layers on top.  I finished off the cards with some sparkling rhinestones.

  1. Ohhhhhh my, this is just stunning Tracy! The dimension in your flower is perfect for a white-on-white card, and I love the addition of the leaves and clear rhinestone centres. Gorgeous!
