Day 19 - Q is for Quaint and Quirky

It's time for the 12th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
You can read the rules HERE or head over to Beccy's Challenges and enter HERE.

Beccy's inspiration is a Santa wearing a beautiful quilted coat card HERE

My "Q" is for Quaint and Quirky,
hand embroidered Christmas Trees with seed bead ornaments.

The embroidered Christmas Tree design is a cut file sized to make a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card.  I trimmed the card base in Silhouette Studio so that the embroidered panel made a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card front and I could hide the threads at the back.  I cut the panels from 300gsm smooth white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo.  Using my new-to-me Collapsible Eye Needle I threaded yellow embroidery thread to make the star and **carefully** followed the threading steps in the guide on the tutorial, joining the dots from 1 to 10.
**carefully** because I now understand why the delicate needles come in packs of four!
... the twisted wires are so fine and delicate ... and bendable too!

Next came the brown thread, following the dots 1-to-12.

Next came the green thread and seed beads,
carefully following the dots from 1-to-44.
What fiddly, frustrating fun, definitely far from "Q" for Quick!

I popped the embroidered card panel with foam dots on scarlet red cardstock, giving it a 1/8” border, then adhered the panel to a 5” x 6 ¼” card base that I made from the same heavy white cardstock as the embroidered panel.
