It's time for the 11th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.

Day 10 - I

I is for Ink

My cards started their inky life in Silhouette Studio.  I opened the Candy Bouquet pre-coloured digital stamp from the Candy Canes digital stamp set by Beccy’s Place and sized the image to fit nicely on a tall slimline card (3 1/2" x 8 1/2").  Next came the sentiment, "Sweet Christmas Wishes" from the same digital stamp set.  There's a lot of white space in this CAS design and I wanted the pretty fonts of the sentiment to POP, so I carried out some digital "surgery",  I trimmed the words apart and put them back together again, stacked in a "portrait" format then sized to fit.  I printed the image-sentiment panels on smooth white Letter sized cardstock, scored at 3 1/2", folded, burnished, trimmed to size and soon had two tall sweet slimline cards.
